2 <br />Vinutec of Villa> >e Council 1 .:ectin .1pri1 10th, 1)L1 000042 <br />Motion by Crane that the Clerk and the Water Superintendent <br />hire one or two part time men at 451.50 per hour, with an additional <br />7¢ per mile mileage allowance to assist in installing water meters. <br />Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes. <br />Motion by Crane to accept Elmer Palen as part time employee at <br />$1.50 per hour with 7¢ per mile mile mileage allowance to assist <br />Water Superintendent. Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes. <br />The Attorney pointed out the Village Liability in regards to these <br />Employees and recommended that a Certificate of Insurance be obtained <br />from each Employee and kept on file. The Clerk was instructed to <br />comply with the Attorney's recommendation. <br />A Resolution regarding Water rates was read by the Attorney. <br />Motion by Blanchard to adopt Resolution setting Water Rates. <br />Seconded by Hodges. 4 Ayes. <br />Motion by Blanchard Seconded by Malvin to Adopt a Resolution <br />removing property at 2259 Pinewood Drive from the Assessment Role. <br />4 Ayes. <br />A memo on Audit procedures was read by the Attorney. A copy was <br />given to each Councilman and a copy placed on file at the Clerk's office. <br />The.May'or then set the date for an Audit meeting for Monday, April <br />17th at 7i00 P*M1 in the Village Office. <br />The Attorney reported onithe final M.A.C. hearing regarding the <br />expansion of the Anoka Co. Airport. <br />The Mayor presented a letter from the staff of the Metropolitan <br />Planning Commission in regards to the Proposed expansion. (Copy on <br />file). <br />The Attorney reported that the final papers were being prepared <br />for the purchase of the Foley jroperty. <br />The Clerk tams instructed to determine what pay the Clerk - typist <br />at the Village Office siouid receive and to recommend hours said Clerk- <br />typist should workq and to report on this at the next regular meeting. <br />Motion by Crane to authorize the Village dierk and his Deputy to <br />issue Burning Permits upon reconm endation of the Fire Marshall or Fire <br />Chief. Seconded by Malvin, 4 Ayes <br />The Attorney was instructed to draw up an amendment to apply to <br />vending machines in the Village Ordinance. .referring to this regulation. <br />Kenneth Ballenger brought up a matter regarding Insurance for the <br />C.D. Volunteers. Insurance referred to James Mahoney for study and <br />recommendation. <br />Police report for March read by Crane. Copy on file at Village <br />Office. Copy of Dogcatcher's report for March also placed on file. <br />Letter from Minnesota Safety Council regarding Circle of Safety <br />Traffic check was referred to Police Chief Grabowski. <br />Letter regarding P. .R.A. was referred to Clerk's office. Motion <br />by Blanchard to pay all bills presented (list attached). Seconded by <br />Malvin. 4 Ayes. <br />
