PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY; MINNESOTA <br />The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called <br />to order by Acting Mayor Hodges at 8:0O P,M., September llth, 1961 at <br />the Red Oak School, Sherwood Rd. and Red Oak Dr., Minneapolis, Minn. <br />000133 <br />Present were <br />Acting Mayor: <br />Clerk: <br />Trustees: <br />Engineer: <br />Attorney: <br />Adm. Clerk: <br />Donald Hodges <br />Lloyd Blanchard <br />Perry Malvin <br />Les Knutson <br />Richard Meyers <br />Paul Boog <br />Motion by Malvin to accept minutes of August 28th meeting as pre- <br />sented. Seconded by Hodges. 3 Ayes. <br />The minutes of special meeting held September 6th(assessment hearing) <br />;ere read. <br />Motion by Hodges to accept minutes as read. Seconded by Malvin, <br />3 Ayes. <br />Mr. Hodges and Mr. Malvin reported that the recreation Commission <br />.nd Lakeside Park Commission budget would be availab2 e for ctudy at the <br />next budget meeting, Monday September 18th. <br />Mr. Roy Juntunen, . Police Commission member, read the Police report <br />for August. (copy on file) <br />He also read a letter of resignation from Officer Dale Pierce and <br />a letter from the Police Commission with a recommendation for ao:eptence <br />of said resignation. (copies of both on file) <br />Motion by Hodges to concur with the Police Commission's recommendation <br />and to accept the resignation of Dale Pierce effective September 22nd,1961. <br />Seconded by Blanchard. 3 Ayes. <br />Motion by Blanchard to concur with the Village Engineer recommendation <br />and to accept the low bid and award the contract to North Star Concrete <br />Co, for furnishing storm sewer conduit for Lambert Park. Said bid in <br />the the amount of $1,355.05. Seconded by Malvin. 3 Ayes. <br />A letter from the Dedolph Co. regarding heating of water utility <br />building was read. (copy on file) <br />The Engineer stated that the contractor would meet his complet; "-on <br />date on the utility building with the exception of the treatment plant <br />portion which was delayed by Council action. <br />Mr. Knutson further reported that the building should be ready for <br />occupancy within 60 to 70 days and advised the Council that some sight <br />grading would be necessary for parking and pedestrians traffic <br />The matter of telephone service to the building was also discussed <br />and will be acted on at a future date. <br />Motion by Hodges to send a work order to the County to grade the <br />utility building site per specs. from Village Engineer. Seconded by <br />Malvin, 3 Ayes. <br />The Engineer advised that an intensive program of flushing of the <br />water mains be instituted and maintained until the treatment plant is <br />installed. <br />
