PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called <br />to order by Mayor Crane at 8 :00 P.M., October 9th, 1961 at the Red Oak <br />School, Sherwood Rd. and Red Oak Dr., Minneapolis, Minn. <br />000146 <br />Present were: <br />Mayor: <br />Clerk: <br />Trustees: <br />Attorney: <br />Engineer: <br />Adm. Clerk: <br />Pub. Works: <br />Allan Crane <br />Lloyd Blanchard <br />Perry Malvin <br />Donald Hodges <br />Mel Christensen <br />Richard Meyers <br />Lea Knutson <br />Paul Boog <br />Walter Skiba <br />Motion by Hodges to accept minutes of-September 25th meeting as <br />presented. Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes. <br />A resolution entitled "A resolution adopting the tax levy for the <br />Village of Mounds View to be collected in 1962" was presented and read. <br />Motion by Christensen to adopt Resolution #85. Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes <br />Mr. Hodges reported that the parks were being prepared for the <br />winter skating season. He further reported thtat the drainage work on <br />Lambert Park was nearly completed. <br />Motion by Christensen to send work order to county to scarify, <br />oil and sand Jackson Dr. from Pinewood to Lois Dr. Seconded by Malvin. <br />5 Ayes. <br />A letter from the City of Fridley was read and placed on file. <br />Mr. Christensen explained that there was some doubt on the part of the <br />Village of Fridley as to the possible assessment procedures for the <br />N.S.S.S.D, <br />Mr. Christensen also reported on a budget meeting held by the <br />sewer district on October 4th at which time a budget was set at $32,000. <br />for 1962. Monies for this budget will come from participating Villages <br />in the form of a loan until the sewer district set up is complete. <br />The matter of Gloria Circle was brought up and as the road seems <br />to have been only partially completed, it was referred to Christensen <br />and the Village Engineer. <br />Motion by Christensen to send work order to county and have <br />Hillview Rd. from Highway #8 to Quincy bladed, oiled and sanded. <br />Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes. <br />The matters referred to Mr. Christensen by the Police Commission <br />and Council at the previous meeting were brought up. <br />1.
