PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was <br />called order by Mayor Crane at 8:00 P.M,, November 27th, 1961 at the <br />Red Oak School, Sherwood Rd. and Red Oak Dr., Minneapolis, Minn. <br />000171 <br />Present were: <br />Mayor: <br />Clerk: <br />Trustees: <br />Engineer: <br />Attorney: <br />Ad. Dep. Clerk: <br />Public Works: <br />Allan Crane <br />Lloyd J. Blanchard <br />Perry Malvin <br />Donald Hodges <br />Melford Christensen <br />Les Knutson <br />Richard Meyers <br />Paul Boog <br />Walter Skiba <br />Motion by Christensen to approve minutes of November 13th <br />meeting as presented. Seconded by Malvin. 5 ayes. <br />The Mayor called for further bids on office furniture. There <br />being none he declared the bids closed and instructed the Clerk to open <br />and read the bids. <br />Bids of office furniture were as follows: <br />Miller -Davis $1,262.75 <br />Farnhams $1,389.83 <br />Motion by Christensen to refer bids to the Clerk for tabulation and <br />recommendation. Seconded by Hodges. 5 ayes. <br />Mr. Christensen reported on the Oakwood storm drain. He <br />stated that the tile was possibly an 8 in. one and that it was plugged at <br />the outlet or perhaps futher back. He stated that he would have the Public <br />Works Supt. and /or his men will check further into this to see if they can <br />correct it and if they are unable to repair it the County will have to be <br />called . r:to do the necessary work. <br />Mr. Skiba_reported that a contractor had been taken into court <br />because of failure to obtain license and permit. He paid a fine of $26.00. <br />Mr. Milt Stole gave a brief report for the Planning Commission. <br />He stated that Mr. Dahlgren was going to draw -up the blueprints <br />for the Village counter - proposal to the proposed new Highway 10 intersection <br />with Highway 8, and would present them to the Village as soon as they were <br />ready. <br />The Attorney reported that a proposed Ordinance regarding <br />continuity of government would be ready for the next regular meeting. <br />At the Mayors request the Attorney set forth for those present <br />the facts regarding the placing of the liquor question on the ballot. <br />He stated the petition as received was in form and that all <br />signers were legal voters.
