-2- <br />December llth, 1961 Council meeting (con't) <br />on this matter and report back to the Council. <br />Mr. Christensen submitted his verbal resignation as Mounds <br />View's delegate on the interim board of the N.S.S.S.D.and stated that as <br />most of the other Villages were represented by their Mayors, on the board, <br />he felt that we should also do_:so :. <br />Motion by Hodges to accept Mr. Christensen's resitnation- as <br />Village delegate to N.S.S.S.D. Seconded by Blanchard. 4 ayes. <br />Motion by Christensen to appoint Mayor Crane as Council's <br />delegate to N.S.S.S.D. interim board. Seconded by Blanchard. 4 ayes <br />Mr. Hodges presented a list of property and estimated cost <br />owned by Recreation Committee. (copy on file) Also, he presented an <br />estimated budget for 1962 based on appropiated funds. <br />Mr. Perry Malvin entered at 9:05 P.M. <br />Mrs. Rose Kane, spokeswoman for a group of six women, asked <br />if the Council would be interested in sponsoring a teen group. She <br />presented a preliminary set of by -laws and some discussion was held on <br />the subject. <br />The Mayor appointed the six ladies as an interim committee to <br />prepare the groundwork for this and to meet with the Council at an informal <br />meeting at 7 :00 P.M., December 18th at the Village office. <br />The Attorney presented copies of a proposed "Continuity of <br />Government ",Ordinance for study. . <br />The liquor application by J &tI wat►.repo.rted ,.bn by -the .Attorney. <br />After Mr. Meyers favorable report on the application Mayor <br />Crane moved to issue "Off and On" Sale liquor license to Mr. Delbert W. <br />Jimmerson and Mr. Donald W. Wright, a partnership, from January 1st, 1962 <br />to June 30th, 1962. Seconded by Malvin. 4 ayes. Christensen abstained. <br />The Engineer reported that the filtration tanks were in place <br />and the work should progress rapidly from hence on.. The Engineer also <br />presented two estimates, one on water projects and one on the new building. <br />(placed on file) <br />Building inspector „C. Piehowski presented plans for a Phillip's <br />"66” gas station at the southwest corner of Highway 10 and Groveland Rd. <br />and recommended they be approved. Motion by Christensen to approve plans <br />and authorize issuance of building permit for this structure. Seconded <br />by Malvin. 5 ayes. Plans were marked by inspector and Village seal was <br />affixed. <br />000180 <br />The proposed police contract was referred back to the Attorney <br />for revision. <br />Recommended zoning ordinance changes from the Village Planning <br />Consultant were referred to the Attorney. <br />The matter of a proposed sewer hookup by Mounds View residents <br />'1.orde.ring Fridley Village on Pleasant View Dr. was referred to the <br />Engineer. <br />The date of the next regular meeting was set for Tuesday <br />- Dcember 26th, 1961 <br />
