Seconded by Blanchard 5 Ayes <br />A letter from Governer Anderson regarding Civil Defense <br />shelter areas refered to Kenneth Ballenger, Civil Defense Director, <br />The Attorney was instructed to investigate the legality f <br />of the Civil Defense Department running a bingo game to raise <br />funds for Civil Defense equipment. <br />The Engineer presented a copy of a letter to the Highway <br />Department regarding state aid Roads. (Letter on File) <br />A memo from the engineer regarding bills for permits <br />from the Highway Department was read and explained by Mr. <br />Knutson.(Copy on File) At the Engineers suggestion the matter <br />was tabled for investigation. <br />The Engineer presented the zoning map of the Village. <br />This map is complete and up -to -date and includes all changes <br />made up to 1 -1 -62. <br />A letter from Dr. Houle, Village Health Officer, regarding <br />Hepatitis in dogs was read and filed. <br />At the Clerks request the matter of water assessments <br />on village parks was tabled. <br />The matter of deliquent water accounts was refered to <br />the attorney for study and recommendation. <br />A letter from Richard Jones, State Representative, <br />regarding proposed park at 35 and Highway 10 interchange <br />was read and placed on file. <br />A letter from the County Auditors office regarding street <br />index for voting purposes was read and filed. <br />Motion by Crane to have Village Engineer comply with <br />this request and forward a copy of street index to the <br />County Auditors office and one to the Village Office. <br />Seconded by Malvin 5 Ayes <br />Motion by Blanchard to accept financial statement as <br />presented and to authorize its publication. Seconded by Crane <br />Mayor Crane stated that he felt that this financial <br />statement was well presented and very complete. He pointed <br />out several items in the statement and read portions of it <br />to those present. Upon call of the roll there were 5 Ayes <br />for approval <br />Motion by Blanchard to pay bills submitted including <br />one to the Victor Adding Machine Company in the amount of <br />$255.60 for the purchase of one Victor Model #718554 adding <br />machine. Seconded by Crane 5 Ayes. <br />A report from the State Board of Health regarding the <br />water system was read and referred to the Engineers for <br />a report at the next regular meeting. <br />
