-2- <br />0d0042 <br />The Attorney reported that a letter had been written to <br />Mr. Lewis and that it apparently was at least partially effective <br />as the parking of buses on Village and County Road stopped. <br />The Attorney was directed by the Council to notify Mr. <br />Lewis to remove the junk buses and other trash from his property <br />in accordance with Ordinance #34. <br />Motion by Sullivan to send work order to County and have <br />"No Parking 8 :00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday thru Friday," signs <br />placed from Knollwood to Fairchild on County Road H - -2 and on <br />Fairchild from Bronson to County Road H -2. <br />Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes <br />Motion by Hodges to have Engineer prepare preliminary plans <br />for extension of water main on Long Lake Road 300' North of present <br />end of water main, to set a Public Hearing on this matter on <br />April 23, 1962 at 8:30 P.M., and to have Engineer prepare and <br />publish such legal notices as required. <br />Seconded by Crane 5 Ayes <br />Planning Commission minutesof March meeting were read <br />and placed on file. <br />Motion by Crane to re -set the date of the public hearing <br />for the requested re- location of a home from Long Lake Road and <br />Highway #10 to County Road H -2 and Long Lake Road as requested <br />by Mr. Chuck Larson. Seconded by Blanchard. 5 Ayes <br />The Clerk was directed to publish and mail such notices <br />as legally required. <br />Mrs. Ruth White, 1939 County Road I, advised the Council <br />that she was assessed on a front foot basis on water project 1960 -3 <br />for both sides of the street and requested the Council to abate <br />the assessment for one side, which actually was unusable land, <br />being in Spring Lake itself. <br />`This was referred to the Engineer and Attorney for study <br />and recommendation. <br />Mr. Paul Bengston, 2000 Valley. View Lane, presented a <br />proposal for Village insurance, and was requested to appear at <br />a special meeting, Saturday, March 31, 1962, at 9:00 A.M. regarding <br />this at which time Mr. Mahoney, insurance representative for the <br />Village will be present. <br />A letter was read and placed on file regarding the con- <br />vention of the Minnesota League of Municipalities at Grand Rapids, <br />June 20- 21 -22, 1962. <br />Motion by Crane to allow expenses incurred for attending <br />this convention, by delegates, (councilmen) up to $75.00 each and <br />to allow Attorney's expense up to $37.50 for attending this <br />convention. Seconded by Blanchard. 5 Ayes. <br />Mr. Hodges reported that the Recreation Meeting on April 5, <br />would deal with the possibility of obtaining trees from the Con- <br />servation Department for use on public lands, such as parks, etc. <br />Mr. Sullivan stated that "road restrictions were being <br />enforced with two exceptions: 1- School buses would be allowed <br />to continue unless they were causing an excessive amount of damage <br />to roads. <br />
