-3- <br />Mr. J. Bell Justice of the Peace for the Village appeared OdOO 0 <br />before the Council. He reminded the Council that there has <br />been unfavorable publicity in the area of Justice Courts in <br />recent days and in view of this he feels that the next session <br />of the legislature may possibly set up a County Court System <br />in lieu of the J.F. system now in effect. He further requested <br />the Council to seriously consider the possibility of setting up <br />a Municipal Court either alone or in conjunction with adjoining <br />Villages. <br />The Council discussed this matter and then referred it to <br />the Attorney and Mr. Bell for a more camplete study of costs <br />and legal procedures. <br />The Police Commission made the following recommendation: <br />The Village should purchase the car at the specified price <br />with trade in and including positraction rear axle for the <br />additional amount of $30.40, <br />Motion by Crane to concur with recommendation of Police <br />Commission and purchase new Police car. Seconded by Blanchard. <br />5 Ayes <br />The Mayor read the Police report for the Month of March, 1962 <br />and it was placed on file. <br />The Mayor read the dog catchers report for the month of <br />March, 1962 and it was placed on file. <br />Trustee Sullivan reported that he had toured the Village <br />roads with Mr. Skiba and Engineer, Les Knutson and had noted <br />all repairs needed. These repairs will be made as soon as <br />possible. <br />Motion by Sullivan to advertise for full time man to work <br />with Water Department, Street Department and Recreation Department <br />at a salary of $80.00 per week. Village resident preferred, <br />application to close April 21, 1962. Seconded by Blanchard. <br />Mr. Malvin questioned the need at this time for a full time <br />employee. Upon call of the roll the following vote was taken: <br />Blanchard, Crane, Hodges, Sullivan Aye. Malvin No. 4 Ayes <br />Motion carried. <br />The Engineer reported that Insulation Sales Co. bidder on <br />acoustical ceiling was apparent low wtih alternate #1 at $996.00 <br />Motion by Blanchard to accept bid of Insulation Sales in the <br />amount of $998.00 including alternate #1. Seconded by Hodges. 5Ayes <br />Upon advise of the Attorney by request of the Council Mayor <br />Crane moved to correct minutes of the regular meeting held <br />March 13, 1962, to read as follows: <br />(following paragraph 7, page 2) <br />Paragraph #8. Motion by Crane to publish notice of public <br />hearing to be held April 23, 1962 at 8 :30 P.M. regarding <br />storm sewer project in Bronson Quincy area. Seconded by Hodges. 5 Aye- <br />Motion to correct, seconded by Sullivan, 5 Ayes <br />
