The bids were referred to the Engineer for study and OdO0J6 <br />recommendation. The Public Hearing on water project 1962 -1 <br />was opened by the Acting Mayor. <br />Mr. Ray Faricy, Attorney for Don Voge, 6000 Highway #8 <br />declared that due to the fact that there would be little or no <br />benefit to the property owner he represents, that he must <br />object to the improvement and to the assessment that would <br />follow if the improvement was made, <br />The Engineer explained that the hearing was ordered by <br />action of the Council, as there was a definite health problem <br />due to the contamination of water at two of the homes affected <br />by this improvement. <br />Mr. Arthur Moschkau, 8330 Long Lake Road and Mr. <br />Rodney Robinson, 8340 Long Lake Road stated that their homes <br />were the ones mentioned by the Engineer and that they were in <br />favor of this improvement. One of the property owners, Mr. <br />Charles Nelson, was unable to attend the meeting and Mr. Sullivan <br />contacted him by phone] MT Sullivan reported that Mr. Nelson was <br />in favor of the improvement; and had^ been informed of the <br />probable assessment this impiovement would incur. <br />Motion by Hodges to order water project 1962 -1 as <br />specified, on the basis of the health problem due to water <br />contamination. Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes <br />The Acting Mayor declared the hearing closed. <br />The Public Hearing on the Bronson- Quincy Storm Sewer <br />Project was declared opened by the Acting Mayor. <br />The Engineer explained the purpose for this project and <br />the methods for correction of the problem. He stated that <br />the estimated total cost would be approximately $4,780.00 <br />which would amount to approximately $.75 per 100 square feet <br />of property affected. <br />Mr. Sullivan stated that due to the fact that a <br />portion of the land would become Village property and could <br />be used for a park, that the Village would pay approximately <br />$1200.00 or % of the full price. <br />The Acting Mayor asked for formal objections to <br />the project. <br />Narfne Address Reason <br />1. Elmer Erickson 5475 Quincy Street sibility of owner of <br />property and he should <br />take care of.it. ) <br />The only persons favoring this proposal were Mr. and Mrs. <br />Alvin Hillsdale, 7850 Spring Lake Park Road, who were desiring <br />this improvement to enable them to use several lots" which <br />Mr. Hillsdale had an option to buy. <br />There being no further statements pro or con the <br />Acting Mayor declared the hearing closed. <br />Motion by Hodges , that the Council drop all action <br />concerning the drainage of this area for the present time. <br />Seconded by Blanchard. 4 Ayes. <br />
