.42• <br />0d0062 <br />Several residents from Pinewood Drive appeared <br />requesting immediate action on their street problem. <br />Improper grading and drainage have created numerous large <br />chuckholes, and present a'constant hazard to drivers and <br />pedestrians alike. They were assured by the Council that <br />the road would be repaired this spring and the ditches would <br />be cleaned out. <br />Motion by Crane to have Village Clerk write letters <br />requesting a reduction of County Road I speed limit to <br />30 M.P.H. from Highway #8 West to Jackson Drive. Letters <br />to be directed to County Engineer, Ed Salverda, County <br />Commissioner and Richard Jones, State Representative. <br />Seconded by Blanchard. 5 Ayes <br />(Letter to include mention of excessive truck traffic <br />and longer braking distance required for said trucks and <br />also the fact that the age of school children attending <br />Pinewood School ranges from 5- to 12 years.) <br />The Engineer was instructed to prepare a preliminary <br />report on extending Jackson Drive through to County Road I. <br />Mr. Sullivan was instructed to remind the County <br />Engineer that "No Parking" signes were requested on the <br />North side of County Road H -2 from Fairchild to Knollwood <br />Drive. (County placed signs only on South side of road.) <br />Mr. Henry Dyslin,5092 Brighton Lane, requested speed <br />signs on Woodcrest Drive in the Twelve Oaks Area. He <br />further requested a possible reduction in the present speed <br />limit. Matter was referred to Police Commission for <br />investigation and recommendation. <br />Motion by Malvin to authorize Mayor and Clerk to <br />endorse checks from Highway Department to Mr; and Mrs. <br />Rybak and the Village as the account for the Village <br />has been settled. Seconded by Blanchard 5 Ayes <br />Motion by Sullivan to grant variance in front footage <br />requirements on a lot split at 8072 Long Lake Road for <br />S & W Construction, on condition they comply with the rules <br />set out on the instruction sheet with the exception of <br />channeling through the Planning Commission. <br />Seconded by Malvin 5 Ayes <br />Motion by Crane to have Engineer prepare preliminary <br />report on the extension of water services to the following <br />areas: <br />1. Spring Lake Park Road from S.T.H. #10 North to <br />County Road "J". <br />2. Groveland Road from Sherwood North to County <br />Road "J ". <br />3. Eastwood from Sherwood Road North to County <br />Road "J" <br />
