PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />Minutes of Public Hearing on proposed water project 1962 -2 <br />held June 14, 1962 at 7:00 P.M. at the Mounds View Village Hall, <br />2401 Highway #10. <br />0d0074 <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Crane at 7:05 P.M. <br />Present were: <br />Mayor <br />Clerk <br />Trustees <br />Allan B, Crane <br />Lloyd J. Blanchard <br />John L. Sullivan <br />Donald Hodges <br />Trustee Malvin arrived at 7:45 P4M. <br />Also present:I <br />Engineer <br />Attorney <br />Deputy Clerk <br />Les Knutson <br />Richard Meyers <br />Paul E. Boog <br />The published notice of the hearing was read by the Clerk. <br />The Engineer explained that this project was instigated in <br />part by a petition circulated on Eastwood Drive and the Council <br />included the rest of the area on the chance that others in the <br />Village might be interested in obtaining Village water at this <br />time. He presented preliminary maps of the area in question <br />and explained these maps. <br />Mr. Knutson then gave the total estimated cost of the <br />project at $108,840.00. He then broke this figure down as follows: <br />1. Estimated cost per foot $4.21 <br />2. Estimated cost per service connection $120.00 <br />At this point he asked if there were any questions. <br />Q. What would this cost be if carried on the tax role. <br />A. Approximately 55% greater than above cost. <br />Q. Is the 8" pipe proposed for Groveland Road assessed at the <br />same rate as the 6" pipe? <br />A. The assessment would be for front footage with no regard to <br />pipe size. <br />Q. How do these estimates compare with previous ones? <br />A. The last assessment was $106.50 per service plus $3.90 per <br />front foot. <br />The Mayor then asked for formal objections and the clerk <br />requested that these be made in writing. <br />The objections were as follows: <br />James Fischer -8241 Eastwood Drive <br />Art Spragenski - 8231 Eastwood Drive <br />Don Stafford - 8450 Eastwood Road <br />Don Voge - Highway #8 & Co.
