PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE ')F MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was <br />called to order by Mayor Crane at 8:00 P.M. June 11, 1962 at <br />2401 Highway #10. <br />Present were: <br />Mayor: <br />Clerk: <br />Trustees: <br />Engineer: <br />Attorney: <br />Adm. Boog <br />Walter Skiba <br />Irene Edberg <br />The Mayor called three times for further bids on the <br />Clint's Addition street and storm sewer improvement project, <br />1962 -1. There being no further bids the Mayor declared the <br />bids closed and the Clerk opened the bids as follows: <br />Bidder Security <br />Alexander Construction 5% Bond <br />F. Morettini Construction 5% Bond <br />Bid Comp. t_i !L. <br />12,982.00 60 cal. days <br />9,118.00 <br />Dunkley Surfacing Co. 5% Bond 9,034.64 <br />Ray Sina Contracting 5% Bond 9,894.40 <br />as specified <br />as specified <br />45 cal. days <br />Motion by Crane to refer bids to the Engineer for tabulation <br />and recommendation. Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes <br />The minutes of. the May 28th meeting were corrected as <br />follows: <br />Page 1, Paragraph 10, Line 4, the word "discussing" was <br />inserted between of and this. Corrected line will read "stating <br />that this Village would be in favor of discussing this type <br />of arrangement." <br />Motion by Sullivan to approve minutes as corrected. <br />Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes <br />The Mayor and the Attorney will contact local schools and <br />churches regarding their feeling toward the setback requirement <br />• for beer and liquor establishments. <br />Mr. Kenneth Ballenger, Civil Defense Director, reported <br />that some work was being done on the rescue truck, and the <br />shelter program was progressing in the Village. <br />Motion by Crane that the Civil Defense department be issued <br />a solicitors permit with no fee, for the purpose of soliciting <br />funds for Civil Defense equipment. Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes <br />
