PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />0J0083 <br />The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council <br />was called to order by Mayor Crane at 8:00 P.M., June 25, 1962 <br />at 2401 Highway #10. <br />Present were: <br />Mayor: <br />Clerk: <br />Trustees: <br />Engineer: <br />Attorney: <br />Adms Deputy Clerk <br />Treasurer: <br />Public Works: <br />Allan B. Crane <br />Lloyd J. Blanchard <br />Donald Hodges <br />Perry Malvin <br />John L. Sullivan <br />Gary Erickson <br />Richard Meyers <br />Paul Boog <br />Irene Edberg <br />Walter Skiba <br />The Mayor opened the informal hearing called for the <br />extension of KnollWood Drive from County Road "I" to Highway #10. <br />The Engineer explained the reasons for the hearing and dis- <br />tributed maps of the area, showing the proposed road. <br />Although they had ',peen invited to attend, the Spring <br />Lake Park Village Council had no members in attendance. <br />Mrs. Nels Moller stated that she was not in favor of <br />this plan and would not be in favor of any road plan that took <br />any Fart of her property. <br />In view of these facts the Mayor, after conferring with <br />the Council stated that there would be no portion of this <br />plan in the Village limits of Spring Lake Park. <br />The Mayor asked for comments from the residents of this <br />area and they are as follows: <br />1. Mrs. Wille - Have no use for this plan, is not in favor. <br />2. Mr. R. Duncan favors the idea, but would like to have <br />the road abut his property. <br />3. Mr. A. Schott - in favor of this plan. <br />4. Mr. Aleckson - not in favor, no benefit. <br />5. Mr. J. Jirovec - in favor only if lot on the west <br />side of proposed road could be divided in two. <br />6. Mr. J. Haluptzok - in favor. <br />After considerable discussion, the Mayor thanked the <br />residents for attending and expressing their views. The <br />matter was then laid aside pending a report from the Planning <br />Commission. <br />Motion by Hodges to accept minutes of June 11, 1962 <br />as presented. Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes <br />Mr. John Harris, 7850 Groveland Road requested the <br />re-zoning of the property at that address to class R -3, so he <br />could construct a 4 -plex. <br />The Council expressed no objections and the following <br />action was taken: <br />Motion by Crane that application be referred to the Planning <br />Commission Meeting of July 17, 1962 for study and recommendation. <br />Seconded by Blanchard. 5 Ayes <br />
