-3- <br />()AUDI <br />Because of the omission in the published legal notice of <br />LaPort the following action was taken. <br />Motion by Crane to order a public hearing for a water <br />improvement project for LaPort Drive from Edgewood to <br />Jackson and to publish legal notice of same. Hearing to be <br />held on August 13, 1962 at 8:00 P.M. at the Village Hall. <br />Seconded by Sullivan; 5 Ayes. <br />The Mayor then recessed the hearing until Monday, <br />August 13, 1962 at 8:00 P.M. <br />The Engineer presented a plan for storm sewer drainage <br />for the backwash water from the filtration plant for study <br />by the Council. (on file at the Village Office.) <br />The problem of a possibility of water pollution near <br />Highway #10 and Eastwood Road was referred to Mr. Skiba for <br />investigation. <br />Mr. Jack Bell appeared for Mr. Richard Westergard <br />regarding an application for a 3.2 off sale license at <br />Tom Thumb Superette, 7305 Knollwood Drive. Motion by <br />Blanchard to deny the license under the terms in <br />Ordinance # 53. <br />Motion withdrawn by Blanchard. <br />Mr. Bell raised several questions regarding this <br />3.2 Ordinance and a general discussion by the Council was <br />held. <br />Motion by Sullivan to have the Attorney re -draft <br />Ordinance #53 and present it at the next Council meeting. <br />for action. Seconded by Crane. 5 Ayes. <br />Action on the application of Mr. Richard Westergard <br />was tabled until the next regular meeting. <br />Mr. Malvin read a letter from Mr. H. Johnson, 2580 <br />Oriole Lane, New Brighton requesting a permit to park a <br />trailer at 8375 Grcveland Road. to take care of aging <br />parents. <br />Motion by Malvin to grant a 90 day permit based on <br />hardships conditions. Trailer to be parked so as to be as <br />inconspicuous as possible, Seconded by Sullivan. <br />Mr. Blanchard stated that the Council had denied a <br />permit previously for the same purpose. <br />Voting on the motion: 4 Ayes, Blanchard Naye <br />The Clerk was instructed to notify the applicant of <br />Council action and to send a copy of the letter to the <br />Police Department. <br />Mr. Skiba reported that due to a problem = no parking <br />area at 7861 Sunnyside Road the building was red - tagged. <br />Mr. Sullivan reported on the following: <br />St. Stephens Street - drainage - complete except sodding. <br />Hillview Road Project - Tentative date for bids <br />Hillview Road - closed to thru traffic because of water <br />problem from Highway #8 to Jackson Drive. <br />Quincy Road - closed from Oakwood to Hillview - same reason. <br />
