PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE )F MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was <br />called to order by Mayor Crane at 8 :05 P.M. September 10, 1962 at <br />2401 Highway #10. <br />0 J t L a <br />Present were: <br />Mayor: <br />Clerk: <br />Trustees: <br />Also Present: <br />Attorney: <br />Engineer: <br />Adm. Deputy Clerk: <br />Treasurer: <br />Public Works <br />Allan B. Crane <br />Lloyd J. Blanchard <br />Donald Hodges <br />Perry Malvin <br />John L. Sullivan <br />Richard Meyers <br />Les Knutson <br />Paul Ei Boog <br />Irene Edberg <br />Walter Skiba <br />The Mayor called three times for further bids on water projects <br />1962 -2 and 1962 -3. There being no answer he declared the bids <br />closed and directed the Clerk to open the bids and the Engineer <br />read them. (See attached sheet) <br />The Mayor asked if anyone present had submitted a bid that <br />was not read. No one present so indicated. Motion by Blanchard <br />to refer the bids to the Engineer for tabulation and recommendation. <br />Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes <br />Motion by Hodges to adopt assessment roll for water projects <br />1961 -1 and 1962 -1 as presented by Engineer, Seconded by Sullivan,5 Ayes <br />The Clerk was instructed to have notice published stating action <br />taken and informing residents that they have until October 10, 1962 <br />to pre -pay this assessment without interest, <br />Motion by Hodges to accept minutes of August 27 meeting as <br />presented. Seconded by Crane. 5 Ayes. <br />Several residents appeared requesting the Village Council to <br />push harder for the cleanup of the Lewis Bus Company on County <br />Road H -2, <br />Mr, and Mrs, Lewis after advise from Judge Bell, requested <br />a 60 -day extension of time to clean up this area. <br />Motion by Malvin to grant an extension of 30 days to complete <br />the cleanup project, including the rubbish and debris in the back <br />of the lot,extension to expire on October 10, 1962. <br />Seconded by Sullivan, 5 Ayes. <br />The Attorney pointed out to Mr. Lewis that as a non - conforming <br />)use, his business can not expand past the present 25 buses he is <br />presently operating and that if he cuts this number down he can not <br />raise it at a later date, <br />The Clerk was instructed to notify the Judges and the Police <br />Department of this action, <br />
