Mr. John Wells, 8020 Groveland Road - Feels that <br />rezoning could spread to the other side of Groveland and will <br />depreciate his home value, also objects to possible noise factor. <br />The Mayor asked if anyone wished to speak for rezoning. <br />Mr. Blanchard , 8005 Groveland Road - made the following <br />statement "Although I was opposed to this rezoning action <br />when first presented, after getting the true facts and figures <br />presented here tonight, I have reversed my opinion and am now <br />in favor of rezonzn <br />Mrs. Blanchar concurred with her husband. <br />Mr. Sullivan stated that although the information presented <br />at this time was very impressive, he would not vote on the <br />question until he had seen the property personally and could <br />picture how near to the objectors property this parcel of land <br />actually is. <br />Motion by Crane to rezone Lot 62 Auditor's Subdivision #89, <br />except theefrom that part taken for Highway purposes, this <br />property line generally near the intersection of Groveland Road <br />and Highway #10, from R -1A to B -3 at the time that the plans <br />for the building and plot plans are approved by the Council. <br />Seconded by Hodges. 4 Ayes. Sullivan abstained for above <br />stated reasons. <br />The Mayor declared the hearing closed and then opened the <br />Public Hearing to, era parcel of land near Highway #8 <br />and Highway #10 for a Drive -In Theater. <br />The Attorney read the Published notice and the clerk <br />stated that notices were sent. <br />The petitioner requested objectors so that he might <br />answer therp. <br />Mr. Robert Waste, 2345 County Road H -2 - presented a <br />4)\ petition with 50 names of residents objecting to this rezoning <br />for the following reasons: <br />increased traffic hazard on the Village streets. <br />2. Nuisance factor <br />3. Land use as proposed would create little tax money <br />for the Village. <br />Also objecting for the same reasons were: Mrs. F. Peterson, <br />Mrs. Allan Crane and Mrs. Robert Waste. <br />After listening to the objections the petitioner stated <br />that he felt the traffic problem and nuisance problem would <br />not be great. <br />Motion by Blanchard to deny requests for rezoning and <br />special use permit as requested. Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes. <br />The Mayor declared the hearing closed. <br />Motion by Sullivan to appoint Mr. Chuck. Larson to fill the <br />unexpired term of Mr. Howard Thorsen on the Planning Commission. <br />Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes. <br />Motion by Crane to allow Mr. Joe Siwek to present his <br />plans for 8 -unit apartment building near Groberg and Bronson, <br />under Ordinance #67 section 5.4 -4 subdivision G for approximately <br />24 units on this property. Seconded by Blanchard. 5 Ayes. <br />
