The October Police report was read by Crane (copy on file) <br />Mayor Crane read letter from Chief of Police, Grabowski, 0J0154 <br />recommending an increase in Patrolman Davis's salary from <br />$50.00 per month to $100.00 per month effective November 1, 1962 <br />because he has been working alone in the squad car and has <br />proven to be a very capable officer. <br />Motion by Malvin to raise Patrolman Davis's salary <br />to $100.00 per month effective November 1, 1962. <br />Seconded by Crane 4 Ayes. Motion Carried. <br />Mayor Crane read a request from Chief Grabowski approved <br />by the Police Commission to paint yellow marking on the <br />curbing in front of the Police Office and installing "No Parking" <br />sign so it can't be moved. Crane ordered that this request <br />be complied. <br />Letter from the Ramsey County League of Municipalities <br />stating that all members of this league be taxes 5( a head to <br />finance the employment of an Executive Secretary to carry on <br />league activities, dues payable January 1. Motion by <br />Crane to agree to join the RCLOM and pay dues of $320.85. <br />Seconded by Hodges. 4 Ayes. Motion Carried. <br />Mayor Crane announced that NSSSD would meet Tuesday,. <br />November 13, 1962, 7 :30 P.M. ' <br />Mayor Crane suggested that all persons or firms wishing <br />technical appointment by the Council submit a proposal or <br />contract of type and kind and amount of work to be supplied. <br />These proposals should be submitted as soon as possible so that <br />adequate evaluations can be made. i.e. Attorney, Engineer, <br />Fiscal Agent. <br />trustee Donald Hodges read a letter from G. Harmon <br />arnouncing the forth - coming hockey and figure skating season <br />from December 15 through February 9, 1963. Hodges reported <br />that the insulation of the warming houses is almost completed <br />and inside lights are being changed. <br />The Council approved of a YAC request for the use of <br />the Village Hall -every Saturday afternoon from 1:00 until <br />4:00 P. M. <br />Trustee Perry Malvin reported on Lakeside Park, noting <br />that the Vet's are to put on a skating schedule;and Ramse -y <br />County has stccked the lake with fish. <br />Trustee John Sullivan reported that areas on Greenfield <br />Place would be completed soon. <br />Motion by Sullivan that the Clerk's Office send a letter <br />to Ramsey County requesting snow removal and sanding as needed <br />for the coming season. If there is any question to contact <br />rither W. Skiba or J. Sullivan. <br />Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes. Motion Carried. <br />Motion by Malvin to pay the bills submitted. <br />Seconded by Crane. 4 Ayes. Motion Carried. <br />(list attached) <br />
