-2- <br />The V.F.W. club is setting -up their skating program for �`, <br />' 10167 <br />Spring Lake and will inform the Lakeside Park Commission of the <br />hours and dates of opening. <br />Mr. Sullivan reported on the following items: <br />1. Groveland Road - Holes filled with gravel. <br />2. Woodcrest Drive and Woodlawn Drive - between Long Lake Road <br />and Edgewood Drive will be repaired. <br />3. Woodcrest ditch - Surplus dirt to be removed from edges. <br />The Building Inspector was instructed to notify Sunrise <br />Methodist Church that only solid fill could be used in filling in <br />the swampy area adjacent to the Church. <br />The Building Inspector notified the Council that the basement <br />home that was under condemnation procedure has been properly <br />enclosed. This closes the condemnation action at this time. <br />The Adams Construction Company will be taken into Justice <br />Court for sub - standard work which they refuse to correct at a home <br />on Terrace Drive. <br />The Clerk's Office was instructed to refer • all license: <br />application (new and renewal) to the Inspectors for approval before <br />each Council meeting. <br />Mr. Skiba reported that an unlicensed contractor is to <br />appear in Justice Court for violation of ordinance. <br />Mr. Skiba recommended the use .of a resident inspector <br />when NSP is installing gas mains in the Village, to guard against <br />damage to water services. <br />The Clerk was instructed to write a letter to N.S P. <br />Gas Company advising them of the above request and to also remand <br />them of their duty to supply maps of proposed extensions to the <br />Council and the Engineer. The appearance at a regular Council <br />meeting of a representative of the NSP Gas Company is to be <br />suggested also. <br />Mr. Knutson, Village Engineer, presented preliminary plans <br />for Water Project 1963-1, an extension of service on Groveland Road. <br />After some discussion, the following action was taken: <br />Motion by Blanchard to set a public hearing for an extension <br />of existing water mains on Groveland Road from present main to <br />North County Line Road, the East to Red Oak Drive, thereby <br />looping the existing dead end on Red Oak Drive. The Engineer <br />will prepare plans and specifications for this project. The date <br />of the hearing will be on January 28, 1963, at 8:00 P.M. <br />Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes. <br />The Ramsey County League Storm Sewer Study Committee . has <br />prepared a bill for enabling legislation to be presented to the <br />legislative committee of the league, <br />The possibilities of hooking -up to the arsenal sewer line <br />were discussed at some length and the Engineer and Attorney <br />were instructed as follows: <br />
