-3- <br />1. To prepare proposal on utility sales contract jjOi68 <br />(similar to New Brighton contract. <br />2. To revise figures for use of potential contract with <br />Arden Hills and Twin City Arsenal. <br />3. To prepare cost estimates for all alternate plans for <br />January 14, 1963. meeting: <br />The Engineer advised the Council that his office was <br />forwarding a letter regarding apartments at County Road "I" <br />and Jackson Drive. <br />The Engineer was instructed to comply with the request <br />of N.S.P. and cause a new electric meter to be installed at <br />the Village Office. <br />The Attorney presented a Resolution correcting assessments. <br />Motion by Blanchard to adopt Resolution # 116. Seconded by <br />Crane. 5 Ayes. <br />The Attorney presented_ a Resolution modifying certain <br />assessments. Motion by Malvin to adopt Resolution # 117. <br />Seconded by Sullivan:' 5 Ayes. <br />A letter from the Attorney to the Council regarding the <br />Robert Berry Bond matter and the Duane Hagen claim against <br />the Village was read and placed on file. <br />Motion by Malvin to offer to settle claim of Mr. Hagen <br />for $100.00. Seconded by Crane. 5 Ayes, <br />A letter from the County Welfare Department regarding <br />the employment of men on releif rolls was referred to the Attorney <br />for forwarding to County Board with a suggestion that they use <br />these men to clean Judicial Ditch #1. <br />Motion by Hodges to send work order to N.S.P. to have a <br />street light placed at the intersection of Bronson Drive and <br />Spring Lake Park Road. (10,000) lumen) as requested by petition. <br />Seconded by Sullivan. 5 Ayes. <br />Motion by Blanchard to sign checks at this meeting for the <br />second half of the monthly payroll. These checks, normally dated - <br />the last day of the month will be dated December 20, 1962 <br />allowing the employees to cash these checks on that date. <br />Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes. <br />The Clerk was instructed to notify the Civil Defense <br />Department to obtain permission before expending any further <br />funds. <br />Motion by Blanchard to hire the firm of Peat, Marwich, <br />Mitchell and Company to audit the books. (limited general <br />examination ). Seconded by Crane. 5 Ayes. <br />Motion by Blanchard to pay bills resented. <br />Seconded by Hodges. (list attached) 5 Ayes, <br />Motion by Blanchard to close Village Office at 12:00 Noon on <br />December 24, 1962 and December 31, 1962. Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes. <br />
