PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />The regular meeting of the Mounds View <br />called to order by Mayor Crane at 8 :00 P.M., <br />at 2401 Highway #10. <br />on <br />as <br />Present were: <br />Mayor: <br />Clerk: <br />Trustees: <br />Also Present: <br />Engineer: <br />Attorney: <br />Adm. Deputy Clerk: <br />Public Works <br />Treasurer: <br />Village Council was <br />December 26, 1962 <br />Allan B. Crane <br />Lloyd J. Blanchard <br />John L. Sullivan <br />Donald Hodges <br />Perry Malvin (excused <br />during public hearing) <br />Les Knutson <br />Richard Meyers <br />Paul E. Boog <br />Walter Skiba <br />Irene Edberg <br />The Mayor announced that there were several vacancies <br />current committees and requested interested citizens to apply. <br />Motion by Hodges to approve minutes of December 10, 1962 <br />presented, Seconded by Sullivan. 4 Ayes. <br />The Mayor opened the public hearing on rezoning of: <br />The West 85 feet of Lot 96 and the West 60 <br />feet of Lot 97, Spring Lake Park Hillview <br />Section 6, Township 30, Range 23. <br />Mr, Jack Bell, Attorney for applicant presented a set <br />of plans for an 8 -unit apartment building to be located on this <br />property if rezoning was attained. He presented the applicants <br />reasons for rezoning stating the difficulty in using this lot <br />for normal home construction, higher tax base, etc. <br />A petition was received and placed on file from Mr. <br />Arthur Olmstead, 8042 Sunnyside Road from opponents to the <br />rezoning. <br />Following are objectors and objections to rezoning: <br />1. Robert Eickstead 2155 Sherwood Road - Traffic increase <br />little benefit to area. <br />2. William Werner 2101 Sherwood Road - opposes any spot <br />rezoning. <br />3. Emil S. Anderson 8033 Sunnyside Road - fear depreciation <br />of surrounding area. <br />4. Samuel Ewing 8055 Sunnyside Road does not want <br />apartment in area <br />5. Roy Juntunen 2210 Sherwood Road - has rental home on <br />Sunnyside 1_ ,ars deprec iation <br />6. Ralph Forsberg 8081 Red Oak Drive - traffic increase <br />7. Kenneth Swanson Spring Lake Park Baptist Church - fears <br />devaluation of property. <br />
