O_i�2 G <br />The Clerk was instructed to investigate the possibility of <br />using a recorded message on phone after office hours so persons <br />wi'abing to contact the Police Department will not waste extra time <br />calling back. <br />The day patrolmen will have an opportunity to attend a Police <br />Training School from April 22 to May 3, 1963. <br />The Civil Defense Department stated that they will inform the <br />Police Department of further Civil Defense courses for Police Training <br />and First Aid. <br />The use of the front windows in the Office for a Boy Scout <br />display in February was approved by the Council. <br />The Mayor announced that an informal meeting to discuss the <br />sewer proposal would be held at the hall on February 4, 1963 for <br />all owners of 40 acres or more in the Village. <br />Motion by Hodges to install street lights of 6,000 lumen at <br />Red Oak and Woodcrest Drive and at Brighton Lane and Woodcrest rrive. <br />(Clerk to send work order to N.S.P.) Seconded by Crane. 5 Ayes. <br />Mr. Hodges was instructed to present a list of warming house <br />attendants to the Council so that the Council can formally hire them. <br />Mr. Malvin was directed to have the floor in the meeting hall <br />tiled as soon as possible. <br />The minutes of the Planning Commission Meeting were read and <br />placed on file. Their action to suggest to the Council that the <br />Planner be placed on a "as needed" basis instead of a retainer <br />basis was met with favor by the Council and the Attorney was <br />instructed to obtain a contract offer from the Planner for study <br />by the Council. <br />The Civil Defense Director, Mr. Charles Jackson, reported that <br />a First•Aid course would be held at the hall starting February 7, 1963 <br />at 7 :30 P.M. and that a course in emergecy child birth would be held <br />on February 28, 1/63. <br />The Engineer presented a letter regarding the hydrant re- location <br />at the S.W. corner of Groveland and Highway # 10. ( on file) <br />The Engineer was instructed to contact the Spring Lake Fire <br />Department to see if the relocation of this hydrant could be <br />postponed until Spring. <br />The Engineer was instructed to investigate the request for a <br />reduction in assessment from Mrs. Kuszler, 7800 Eastwood Road. <br />The Clerk's ')ffice is to send a letter to the Highway Department <br />and state that the Council will not approve of the proposed woven <br />wire fence for 35 W, but will approve of a cyclone type fence. <br />The Attorney presented the final draft of the letter for <br />)possible sewer connection to the arsenal line. <br />Motion by Blanchard to have the letter re -typed on Village <br />stationary and forwarded to the Twin City Arsenal Officials. <br />Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes. <br />
