-3- <br />0J0018 <br />Motion by Crane that the Recreation Committee be allowed <br />to advertise for and hire their own employees, with Councils approval, <br />and that after such employee or employees are hired, the Public <br />Works employees will no longer do park work without direction of <br />the Council. Seconded by Blanchard. 5 Ayes. <br />The matter of an open cesspool in the Twelve Oaks area <br />was referred to the Police Department for immediate action. <br />The Clerk was instructed to notify the Ramsey County <br />Engineer to post the load limit signs on er about March 15, 1963. <br />The Planning Commission will be requested to do a layout <br />of the Village Hall area. The Engineer's Office will be available <br />for their assistance if requested. <br />Motion by Crane to appoint Jim Schlichtmann, 2475 Clearview <br />as weed inspector for 1963. Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes. <br />Mr. Schlichtmann stated that he will be able to attend <br />the regular school for this position. <br />The Attorney presented a resolution naming Mr. Malvin <br />as Village Representative on the North Suburban Sanitary Sewer Board. <br />Motion by Blanchard to adopt Resolution # 116A Seconded by Sullivan. <br />Three Ayes. Hodges, Crane Naye. <br />The Engineer presented several letters for the Councils <br />information. <br />i., Letter to the State Health Department regarding areation sewage <br />plant. Mr, Knutson stated that the Health Department via a telephone <br />conversation; that he was instructed to obtain a letter regarding <br />this matter. <br />2, A letter to Gopher Electric regarding wiring and other work. <br />3. Letter to Spring Lake Park Fire Department regarding hydrant <br />M Highway # 10 and Groveland Road. <br />4 A letter regarding Kuszler lot on Eastwood Road. <br />(copies of all letters on file) <br />Motion by Blanchard that a letter be sent from the Clerk's <br />Office to Mrs. Kuszler stating that her lot could be split , <br />therefore, no reduction in assessment will be considered at this time. <br />A map showing how the lot could be split to be enclosed in the letter. <br />Seconded by Crane. 5 Ayes. <br />The Engineer presented an approximate appraisal of Village <br />owned land for the annual financial report. (on file) <br />Motion by Malvin to have the Engineer prepare the assessment <br />rolls on water project 1962 -2 and 1962 -3. Seconded by Sullivan. 5 Ayes. <br />Motion by Blanchard to approve solicitor license for Mr. <br />Charles Miller in behalf of a local scout troop for selling electric <br />light bulbs house to house with no fee required. <br />Seconded by Sullivan. 5 Ayes. <br />The Attorney reported that due to recent change in policy <br />the Villages would now handle non - support cases in Justice Court. <br />The Attorney presented a resolution abating certain <br />assessments. Motion by Hodges to adopt Resolution # 117 Seconded <br />by Sullivan. 5 Ayes. <br />
