PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE GOUNGIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was <br />called to order by Mayor Crane at 8:00 P.M., February 25, 1963 at <br />2401 Highway # 10. <br />Present were: <br />Mayor: <br />Clerk: <br />Trustees: <br />Absent: <br />Trustee: <br />Also Present: <br />Engineer: <br />Adm. Deputy Clerk: <br />Public Works: <br />Treasurer: <br />Allan B. Crane <br />Lloyd J. Blanchard <br />Perry Malvin <br />John L. Sullivan <br />Donald Hodges <br />Les Knutson <br />Paul E. Boog <br />Walter Skiba <br />Irene Edberg <br />Motion by Blanchard to correct minutes of February 11, <br />as follows: Paragraph # 7, Page # 3 - Number 1 shall read: <br />Letter to State Health Department regarding aeration sewage <br />plant. ( on file) Mr. Knutson stated that via a telephone conversation <br />with the department they expressed their doubts as to the possibility <br />of their approval of this system. Mr, Knutson was instructed to obtain <br />a letter to this effect from the Department of Health. <br />Seconded by Crane. 4 Ayes. <br />Motion by Sullivan to accept the minutes of February 11 <br />as corrected. Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes. <br />Motion by Crane to appoint Mr. James R. Monson <br />as a member of the Police Commission. Seconded by Blanchard. 4 Ayes. <br />Mayor Crane reported the following: <br />1. Village of Brooklyn Park petitioned to withdraw entirely <br />`'rom the NSSSD. (Copy of petition on file.) <br />2. Ramsey County League Meeting to be held February 28 <br />in Maplewood. <br />3. Police Department will prepare emergency phone number <br />stickers for distribution by local scout troops. <br />Mr. Jack Bell, Attorney for Paul Indykiewcz presented a <br />request to relocate the living portion of the Sahara Club as a <br />dwelling at Groveland Road and County Road I. Lot # 56. <br />Motion by Sullivan to set Public Hearing at 8 :00 P.M. <br />on March 11, 1963 4or the proposed relocation of this building. <br />Notice to be published and mailed to affected property owners. <br />Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes. <br />Clerk instructed to request Ramsey County Engineer <br />to present plans for County Road I and Groveland Road at this hearing. <br />Mr. Bell presented a rather forceful plea for a rezoning <br />of a parcel of land located approximately across from Fairchild <br />)Avenue on Highway # 10, for the purpose of constructing a liquor bar, <br />on and off sale. Mr. Bell is representing Mr. Clarence Peterson in <br />this matter. This matter has already caused some disturbance in the <br />Village and the Council referred Mr. Bell to the Planning Commission. <br />If all forms are forthcoming, the Council will set a Public Hearing <br />on March 11, 1963. <br />
