The Recreation Committee announced that March 1, 1963 <br />will be the last day of the skating season. <br />The date of the detachment from NSSSD for Brooklyn Park <br />will be March 12, 1963. <br />The Engineer informed the Council that dynamite was being <br />used in % pound charges on the Hillview Road project. This was <br />given an OK by the Engineer after consultation with the Village' <br />Attorney. The contractor has taken out additional insurance to cover <br />this activity and a police officer is present during blasting. <br />Motion by Blanchard to approve financial statement and order <br />publishing of the same, Seconded by Crane. 4 Ayes. <br />The Engineer presented the following to the Council for study: <br />1.. Approximate figures for water project 1962 -2 and 1962 -3 <br />2. Change Order # 2 for water project 1962 -3 <br />3. Final Estimate for project 1962 -2 and 1962 -3 <br />on file. <br />The minutes of the Planning Commission were read and placed <br />Mr. Charles Jackson, Civil Defense Director, stated that the <br />^urvival and operational plan for the Village should be ready and <br />presented at the March 25th meeting. <br />Motion by Crane that the Civil Defense Director be paid <br />salary of $30.00 per month effective March 1, 1963. <br />:econded by Sullivan. 4 Ayes. <br />Motion by Sullivan to have Mr. Johnson and Mr. Skiba <br />-.ttend the Water Superintendant school at the University of Minnesota <br />`rom March 18 to March 20, 1963. Village to pay expenses incurred. <br />;econded by Malvin. 4 Ayes. <br />The Treasurer presented her monthly reports. <br />Motion by Sullivan to authorize the Treasurer to purchase <br />=rom the Water Bond Redemption Fund $80,000.00 of Government Bills, <br />from the General Fund $35,000.00 of Government Bills, from the <br />Improvement Revolving Fund $5,000.00 of Government Bills <br />econded by Blanchard. <br />4 Ayes. <br />Motion by Blanchard to approve licenses. (list attached) <br />seconded by Sullivan. 4 Ayes. <br />Motion by Blanchard to pay bills submitted. (list attached) <br />econded by 1V1alvin. 4 Ayes. <br />Mr. Bengston, Insurance Agent for the Village; Mr. Olson, <br />=iscal Agent; Mr. Knutson, and Mr. Meyers will be requested to attend <br />'he nest 'agenda . meeting on March 4, 1963 -at 4:00 P.M. <br />Motion by Blanchard to adjourn.
