PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL . <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />0J0043 <br />The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was <br />called to order by Mayor Crane at 8:00 P.M., April 22, 1963, at <br />2401 Highway # 10. <br />Present Were: <br />Mayor: <br />Clerk: <br />Trustee: <br />Also Present: <br />Engineer: <br />Attorney: <br />Public Works: <br />Adm. Sullivan <br />Shelly Boehm <br />Richard Meyers <br />Walter Skiba <br />Paul Boog <br />Meeting called to order by Mayor Crane @ 8 :00 P.M. <br />Assessment hearing for water projects 1962 -2 and 1962 -3 <br />opened by Mayor Crane. <br />Hodges entered at 8:05 P.M. <br />The Engineer presented copies of the figures used in determining <br />the cost of the project and explained the reasons for the various <br />costs for 1962 -2. Front footage $2.67, Service Connection $108.63 <br />Total project cost was $ 19,737.84. <br />The Clerk was instructed to notify the County Auditor, upon <br />submission of the assessment role, of the change in assessment <br />figures which now show total amount due. <br />The Mayor called three times for objections to the assessment. <br />There were no objectors. <br />The portion of the hearing regarding project 1962 -2 was closed <br />by the Mayor. <br />Motion by Hodges to adopt the assessment roll for water <br />project 1962 -2 as presented. Seconded by Sullivan. 5 Ayes. <br />The Attorney explained the prepayment privileges and stated <br />that the 30 day period would end on May 23, 1963. <br />The Engineer explained the costs of the 1962 -3 project stating <br />that the higher cost was due in the most part to the water problems <br />encountered by the contractor. Front foot cost $4.26, Service <br />Connection $ 130.91. Total project cost was $32,783.98. <br />Mr. George Jackson, 8300 Highway # 8, stated that he felt the <br />cost to him was quite excessive and requested a reduction in assetsed' <br />footage. His land is unplatted farm land and there were no connection' <br />lines to his property. After much discussion, the Council determined <br />that the land would probably be developed along the lines of the <br />property across from his and therefore decided to adjust his <br />assessable frontage to 200 feet. <br />The Attorney was instructed to prepare an agreement for Mr. <br />Jackson to sign. Said agreement to be to the effect that property <br />would only be subdivided as property across from it. <br />The Mayor called three times for objectors to the assessment <br />There were no objectors. The Mayor closed the hearing. <br />
