-2- <br />Motion by Blanchard to concure with Police Chiefs C190051 <br />recommendation and return confiscated weapon to owner, Mr. Marvin <br />Schluter. . Seconded by Sullivan 4 Ayes. <br />A petition for vacating an easement in the Irondale Plat <br />was referred to the Engineer and Attorney for advisement. <br />Mr. Frank Geer representing the Cross of Glory Lutheran <br />Church raised several questions regarding the late hook -up fee. In <br />answering his questions the Council requested that the paper re -state <br />that tho late hook -up fee is a fee and not a fine and that if a home <br />was never hooked -up to the system the fee would not have to be paid, <br />A copy of this portion of the ordinance and an explanation of it will <br />be forwarded to the Church. <br />Motion by Blanchard to set public hearing for the extension <br />of water service and the improvement of roads in the Mueller Addition <br />based on the Engineers preliminary report. Hearing to be May 27, <br />1963 at 9 :00 PM. Seconded by Sullivan. 4 Ayes. <br />Motion by Sullivan to approve final plat for Mueller <br />Addition and authorize Clerk and Mayor to sign same. No building <br />permits will be issued prior to arrangements for financing of public <br />improvements in addition. Seconded by Blanchard. 4 Ayes, <br />A formal request was filed withthe Clerk requesting water <br />and street improvements in Mueller Addition. <br />Malvin entered at 9:45. P.M. <br />Mr. Jim Olson, Fiscal Agent, will present his complete <br />report and recommendation to the Council at the Agenda Meeting on <br />May 20, 1963 at 5:30 P.M. <br />Motion by Sullivan to have the Village Treasurer contact <br />Ramsey County relative to getting an advance on taxes collected by them <br />for the Village. Seconded by Blanchard. 5 Ayes, <br />The Engineer presented the second preliminary plan for <br />drainage of Hillview Park. ( on file) <br />A copy of a letter from the Engineer to Ramsey County <br />requesting work on Village roads was read and filed. <br />A resident on Fairchild Avenue will be advised by Mr. Skiba <br />that his present curb stop is in the location he requested and there <br />would be a new connection charge for a new curb stop. <br />The Engineer reported on the following items: <br />1. Corporation stop missing on Knollwood Drive. Bill for <br />same sent to Lametti Construction. <br />2. Peat on north side of Hillview project and condition <br />of Oakwood Park will be watched and reported on at regular meetings. <br />3. The surfacing of the Hillview project will be checked <br />against the contract and report made at next meeting. <br />The matter of a blocked drainage ditch in Jackson - Hillview <br />area will be taken care of under authorization given to Mr. Skiba, <br />Motion by Sullivan to hire additional employees to assist <br />in cleaning above mentioned ditch. Wages to be $1.50 per hour. <br />Seconded by Blanchard. 5 Ayes. <br />
