PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />OJ0054 <br />The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was <br />called to order by Mayor Crane at 8:00 P.M. Boog <br />Mayor Crane opened the public hearing to rezone lots 16 <br />through 22, Block 5, Pinewood Terrace # 2 from R -1A to B -3. This <br />property located on the North side of Highway # 10, East of Edgewoad <br />Drive to be used for a ballroom, medical center and drive -in <br />restaurant. Mr. Eastman, the owner of the property,explained that <br />future development of this area could only be in commercial building. <br />He proposed to build a ballroom 120' by 150' with wings. He <br />introduced Mr. E.L.(Bud) Rademeker who intends to manage the ballroom. <br />Tjlr. Milt Stole explained the Planning Commission Views - this area <br />more purposefully used as B -3. <br />Mayor Crane asked for comments from any person favoring <br />or opposing this rezoning. <br />Mr. Ernest Gustafson - 2225 County Road I - in favor of <br />rezoning this would increase the value of his property across the street. <br />Mr. Wendall Erickson - 5319 St. Stephens - in favor of <br />Industry recommended screening with a strip of land between commercial <br />and residential zones. <br />Mr. John Radway, 5336 St. Stephens - in favor of conditional <br />and partial zoning and objected to complete rezoning of entire area. <br />The Mayor declared the hearing closed. Action by the Council <br />will be delayed until later in this meeting. <br />Motion by Hodges to approve the minutes of May 13, 1963 <br />meeting as presented. Seconded by Sullivan . 3 Ayes. Motion Carried. <br />At 9 :00 P.M., Mayor Crane opened the Public Hearing for <br />improvements of a Mounds View Water Main Extension, Street Grading, <br />Shaping and surfacing and the installation of surface drainange structure <br />or Red Oak Drive from County Road H -2 to 330' North of Woodcrest Drive <br />and for Longview Drive from Red Oak Drive back to Red Oak Drive. This <br />was petitioned by the owner, Mr. D. Mueller. <br />Mayor Crane asked for comments from those who favored or <br />opposed this improvement. <br />
