PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />The regular meeting of the Mounds <br />called to order by Mayor Crane at 8:00 P.M. <br />Highway # 10. <br />Present Were: <br />Mayor: <br />Clerk: <br />Trustees: <br />Also Present! <br />Attorney <br />Engineer: <br />Adm. Deputy Clerk: <br />Public Works: <br />OJ 361. <br />View Village Council was <br />June 10, 1963 at 2401 <br />Allan B. Crane <br />Lloyd J. Blanchard <br />Donald Hodges <br />Perry Malvin <br />John L. Sullivan <br />Richard Meyers <br />Les Knutson <br />Paul E. Boog <br />Walter Skiba <br />Mayor Crane opened the Public Hearing for Rezoning for <br />property owned by Stella and Ray Skiba. <br />The Clerk read the published legal notice. <br />The Mayor asked if anyone wished to speak either for or <br />against this rezoning. <br />Mr. James Gibson, 7670 Groveland Road stated that he was in <br />favor as the business proposal would broaden the tax base in the Village <br />and could perhaps influence other businesses to locate here. <br />Mr. Milt Stole, Chairman of the Planning Commission, read <br />the minutes of a special meeting held to discuss this proposal. <br />The Planning Commission voted to recommend approval. (Copy of minutes <br />on file.) <br />The Mayor called three times for objections to the rezoning <br />and there were none.' <br />The Mayor declared the hearing closed. <br />Motion by Malvin to concur with the Planning Commissions <br />recommendation and rezone the East 332.87 feet of the South west Vel <br />of the Southeast % of Section 8, Township 30, Range 23 lying South <br />of S.T.H. #10 --62 and that part of the South V2 of the Southeast <br />of the Southeast % of Section 8, Township 30, Range 23, Southwesterly <br />of S.T.H. #10 -62. Rezoning subject to the issuance of a building permit. <br />Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes. <br />The matter of the improvements to the Mueller Addition, <br />layed over from the previous meeting was discussed. <br />Mr. Lundquist - 2750 County Road H -2 stated he would be <br />willing to give the Village the requested 30' easement but that he was <br />trying to sell the property and is afraid the assessments will be <br />quite high. <br />Action was witheld pending advise from the Engineer later in <br />the meeting. <br />Motion by Sullivan to approve the minutes of May 27, 1963 <br />presented. Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes. <br />A request for sub - divison from Mr. Spitzer was referred to <br />the Planning Commission with a request to be sent to the petitioner <br />to appear before them. <br />
