PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was <br />called to order by Acting Mayor Hodges at 7 :30 P.M., June 24, 1963, at <br />,2401 Highway # 10. <br />Present Were: <br />Acting Mayor: <br />Clerk: <br />Trustees: <br />Absent: <br />Mayor: <br />Also Present: <br />Engineer: <br />Attorney: <br />Deputy Clerk: <br />Public Works: <br />Treasurer: <br />Donald Hodges <br />Lloyd J. Blanchard <br />John L. Sullivan <br />Perry Malvin <br />Allan B. Crane <br />(excused on vacation) <br />Les Knutson <br />Richard Meyers <br />Paul E. Boog <br />Walter Skiba <br />Irene Edberg <br />The Acting Mayor called three times for further bids on the <br />Bond Sale, there being none he declared the bids to be closed. <br />Bids were opened by the Clerk and read by the Attorney <br />as follows: <br />Security Interest Rate Interest Cost <br />1. American National Bank 2,600 3.5797 $32,575.80 <br />2. Allison , William Co. 2,600 3.5317 32,140,00 <br />3. First National of St. Pau12,600 3..4587 31,475.00 <br />4. Kalman and Company 2,600 3.6351 33,080.00 <br />The Attorney stated that the apparent low bidder was # 3 <br />the First National Bank of St. Paul. The bids were referred to the <br />Attorney and Fiscal Agent for computation and recommendation. <br />Motion by Malvin to accept minutes of June 10 as presented.. <br />Seconded by Sullivan 4 Ayes.. <br />Motion by Malvin to appoint Mr. Ronald Whitneck - 2310 Hillview <br />as plumbing, heating, sewer, well and air condition inspector. <br />Seconded by Blanchard 4 Ayes.. <br />The Attorney was directed to prepare an Ordinance setting the <br />inspectors fee schedule for the next meeting. <br />The permit for the work to be inspected by Mr. Whitneck <br />will continue to be issued from the Clerk's Office. <br />Mr. Malvin was directed to see what action can be taken <br />regarding a resident who has no sanitary plumbing in his home. <br />The Lakeside Park Commission reported that more than 500 <br />children have registered for swimming instructions this year, and that <br />a new ball field is being constructed at the park. <br />Mr. Sullivan reported that due to the heavy meter'installation <br />here is no road work being done by Village employees at this time. <br />
