-3- <br />0A1/384 <br />Mr. Malvin will be in charge of this activity and enlist <br />the aid of the Police Department and Civil Defense Department. <br />Motion by Crane to authorize the absence of the Deputy Clerk <br />the Duty Police Officer and Mr. Skiba for two hours per day for five <br />days to attend the Civil Defense school in New Brighton. <br />Seconded by Hodges. 4 Ayes. <br />The Mayor announced the formation of a three member <br />Citizens Advisory Committee on Civil Defense and requested volunteers <br />for the job. <br />Motion by Blanchard to allow the firm of Comstock and Davis <br />to do Engineer work for the proposed trailer park at Hillview and <br />Highway # 8, providing that Village consultant, Les Knutson,does <br />not do this work. Seconded by Crane. 4 Ayes. <br />The Attorney will prepare a resolution regarding the <br />acceptance of the City of St. Paul into the Ramsey County League. <br />The relocation of the New Brighton dump was referred to Mr. <br />Malvin for study and a report. <br />The Minutes of the Planning Commission Meeting of July 17, <br />1963 presented by Mrs. Blanchard, secretary of Planning Commission. <br />Motion by Crane to concur with the Planning Commissions <br />recommendation and approve the location and layout of the two apartment <br />buildings requested on the Hillview Road side of the Montgomery Trailer <br />Park site.(according to plat on file, with the exception that future <br />street be made 50 feet wide and that all dimensions east of future <br />street be moved 20 feet easterly.) Seconded by Blanchard. 4 Ayes. <br />After much <br />Motion by Crane to aut discussion <br />horizethe aBuilding nInspector ptonissue a building for apartment near Groberg and Jackson when he determines plans <br />meet zoning ordinance and building code. Oelrich - 8428 Eastwood Drive upon receipt of fee required. <br />Seconded by Hodges. <br />4 Ayes. <br />A recommendation for the condemnation of a home at 7887 Edge - <br />wood Drive was referred to Chris Piehowski for action. <br />Mr. Skiba will continue to be utilized as an inspector but <br />only in case of an emergency. <br />The Clerk's Office is requested to send a letter of thanks <br />to the Village of Blaine for loan of water meters. <br />The Engineer presented Estimate # 3 (final estimate) for <br />Layne - Minnesota of pump equipment and Well # 2. <br />Motion by Crane to accept Estimate # 3 , authorize payment <br />''nd enter into one year warrenty bond agreement. <br />,econded by Blanchard. <br />4 Ayes. <br />An estimate for resurfacing walkways was referred to Mr. <br />Sullivan for reviewal. <br />
