‘2L <br />OJUG96 <br />Motion by Blanchard to refer the letter to the Attorney for <br />his recommendation at the next regular council meeting. Seconded <br />by Sullivan. 4 Ayes. <br />Hodges announced that the Agenda Meeting will be on <br />September 3, 1963 at 5 :30 P.M. and will include budget proposals. <br />Mr. Sullivan reported that after investigation of the walk - <br />through easements it had been determined to treat only one with oil <br />surface and to sod the remaining ones. He further reported that all <br />school crosswalks would be painted on or before school opens. <br />A letter was received from the Acting Commissioner of Highways <br />regarding a public hearing on October 7, 1963 pertaining to state aid <br />road system. (Letter on file.) <br />Motion by Hodges to pay expenses for Village Attorney, <br />Village Engineer and one Councilman to attend said hearing. <br />Seconded by Blanchard. 4 Ayes. <br />Mr. Piehowski, BuildirgInspector, presented two requests <br />for variances under the zoning ordinance. <br />Motion by Sullivan to allow variation of three feet sideyard <br />set back for Mr. R. J. Hicke -5065 Red Oak Drive. Building will be <br />seven feet from the North lot line. Seconded by Blanchard. 4 Ayes. <br />Motion by Blanchard to deny request for variance for Mr. <br />M.W. Johnson -6953 Pleasant View Drive because garage would then be too <br />large. Seconded by Sullivan. 4 Ayes. <br />Mr. Piehowski reported that construction has begun on the <br />Sivek apartments at Groberg and Jackson Street. <br />Mr. Blanchard reported that N.S.P. has agreed to lower the <br />power poles on Highway # 10, North of Rice Creek as requested at the <br />last Council meeting at their own expense. <br />The Engineer presented a preliminary report on surface water <br />drainage in Mounds View for Council study. <br />The Attorney presented a letter and a bill for the recent <br />Bond Sale. (on file) <br />Motion by Malvin to pay the Village Attorney and the approving <br />Attorney for the Bond Sale. Attorney- $1,205.20 - App. Attorney - $390.00. <br />Seconded by Blanchard. 4 Ayes. <br />A memo regarding vacancy in Public Office was presented by <br />the Attorney for Council study. <br />Motion by Blanchard that the Village approve of Minnesota <br />Statues 1963 Chapter 728, allowing St. Paul to become a member of the <br />Ramsey County League of Municipalities. Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes. <br />Motion by Blanchard to adopt Resolution # 134 regarding water <br />ssessments on Mueller Addition. Seconded by Hodges. 4 Ayes. <br />
