-2- <br />OJU111 <br />A petition was received and filed for a street light at the <br />intersection of Bronson and Quincy Streets, <br />Motion by Malvin to send purchase order to N.S.P. for one <br />6,000 lumen lamp at the intersection of Bronson and Quincy. <br />Seconded by Blanchard. 4 Ayes. <br />The Clerk's Office was directed to write a letter of thanks <br />to the Boy Scouts of Troop # 400 of Pinewood School for their work in <br />cutting weeds around the fire hydrants. <br />Attorney Meyers stated in answer to questions that according <br />to the rules of our Police Department an Officer may hold his job <br />and still run ,for office. <br />The Engineer stated in answer to a question that the <br />contractor must complete all work before .-^ece final payment <br />for the Hillview State Aid Project. <br />Motion by Sullivan that the Engineer direct Twin City Testing <br />Lab. to take borings on Hillview to determine if sufficient base <br />material has been placed where the ro -d appears to be sinking. <br />Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes. <br />The Minutes of the Recreation Committee were read and filed <br />A letter from the Village Clerk of Spring Lake Park regarding minimum <br />amount of money that Lakeside Park Commission may spend without bid <br />was read and referred to the Attorney. <br />Mrs. Florence Peterson stated that she would be willing <br />to serve on the Lakeside Park Commission. <br />Motion by Malvin to approve plans for A. Donatelle's Supper <br />Club and direct Building Inspector to issue building permit. <br />Seconded by Sullivan. 4 Ayes. <br />Motion by Sullivan that the Council will issue ')n and Off <br />Sale liquor license to Mr. A. Donatelle, upon approval of his application. <br />Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes. <br />The Building Inspector was directed to have inspection sheets <br />printed. Motion by Sullivan to allow variance in side yard set back <br />of 1!' for Mr. Harold Parsons, 7835 Greenwood Drive. <br />Seconded by Hodges. 4 Ayes. <br />Mr. Charles Jackson, Civil Defense Director, reported that <br />he had purchased the generator for the rescue truck for a total price <br />of $741.50. <br />Motion by Blanchard to authorize Civil Defense to try out <br />four Citizen Band radios and if they find these acceptable to purchase <br />them for $370.00. Seconded by Malvin, 4 Ayes. <br />The Engineer reported that all work was now complete on <br />water project 1962 -3. <br />Motion by Blanchard to release all monies witheld to pay <br />1962 -3 to the contractor, Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes. <br />The water analysis requested will be presented at the next <br />regular meeting by the Engineer. <br />
