-2- <br />ft 4)142 <br />The Planning Commission was directed to re -study the minimum front <br />footage required after sanitary sewer is available. <br />Mr. Meyers will furnish copies of a 'snowbird' ordinance to the <br />Council for study. <br />The Clerk was directed to check the insurance the Village has for <br />liability, to see if it is adequate. <br />The Planning Commission minutes were read and filed, <br />A request from Bell Telephone Co. to place an underground cable in <br />the Village was referred to the Engineer. <br />Motion by Blanchard to approve renewal of plumbing license for Moller <br />Plumbing. Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes. <br />Motion by Blanchard to sell $35,000.00 worth of Government notes <br />held by the Village. $25,000.00 to go to Bond Redemption Fund and <br />$10,000.00 to be transferred to Water Construction Fund, as this last <br />amount was inadvertently put in Bond Redemption Fund. Seconded by <br />Sullivan. 4 Ayes. <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />The Mayor opened the public hearing for rezoning of a portion of the <br />Mueller property. The Clerk read the published legal notice and attested <br />to the mailing of same to affected property owners. Mr. J. Bell, re- <br />presenting Mr. Mueller, stated the reasons for this request. Mr. Mueller <br />stated that he did not intend any construction until sanitary sewer was <br />available. <br />The only objector to the proposal was Mr. Karjalahti, 5092 Longview <br />Drive, who objected because of possible decrease in value of surrounding <br />homes and property. <br />Motion by Malvin to rezone,Lot 4, Block 1, Mueller's Addition and Lot <br />E, Lot F,and Lot G lgcated So. of Cty-. Rd. H2 and East of Knollwood Motors <br />Co., contigent upon application and acceptance of building permit. Se- <br />conded by.Hodges. 4 Ayes. <br />THE MAYOR CLOSED THE PUBLIC HEARING. <br />The Attorney was directed to prepare an attendment to the zoning <br />ordinance regarding landscaping in all commercial and industrial zones. <br />A representative of Carlson - Lavine Co. requested rezoning of a por- <br />tion of their property in the 12 Oaks area for multiple dwellings. This <br />was referred to the Planning Commission for study and recommendation. <br />Motion by Sullivan to set public hearing on this matter for 9:30 P.M., <br />Jan. 27, 1964. Seconded by Blanchard. 4 Ayes. <br />The applicant was warned that if proper papers were not in the village <br />office early enough, said hearing would not be held on the date. <br />Upon recommendation of the building inspector, motion by Hodges to <br />allow variance of square footage requirement of Mr. James Monson, 8145 <br />Groveland Road, and allow him to construct home with 660 sq. ft. of <br />living area. Seconded by Sullivan. 4 Ayes. <br />
