-2- <br /><? .() a <br />Motion by Sullivan to increase the salary of Superintendent Walter <br />Skiba from $474.96 to $500.00 per month plus payment of health in- <br />surance and to increase the salary of Walter Johnson from $2.12 per <br />hour to $2.40 per hour plus payment of health insurance, effective <br />March 1, 1964. Seconded by Rustad. 5 Ayes. <br />Motion by Sullivan to sign application and pay premium to Trav- <br />elers Insurance Company for Health and Accident and Life Insurance <br />for a total of six employees, effective March 1, 1964. Seconded by <br />Blanchard. 5 Ayes. <br />A letter regarding the legality of this motion was requested <br />from the insurer, and the Attorney was directed to furnish this. <br />Motion by Blanchard to authorize the Mayor to appoint one rep- <br />resentative to attend the University of Minnesota short course on <br />turf and sodding on March 17, 164. Village to pay expenses in- <br />curred. Seconded by Rustad. 5 Ayes. <br />Mr. Rustad read the minutes of the Police Commission meeting of <br />February 20, 1964. Copy on file. <br />Motion by Rustad to concur with the recommendation of the Police <br />Commission and raise the pay of part time Police officers $10.00 <br />per month. Seconded by LaVaque. 5 Ayes. <br />The matter of the vacating of liquor establishments after closing <br />hours was referred to the Attorney for recommendation. <br />The Mayor presented a certificate of appreciation to Mr. Perry <br />Malvin from the Council for his years of active interest in the <br />Village. <br />The minutes of the Planning Commission meeting of February 18, <br />1964 were read and filed. <br />The Public Hearing for the Rezoning of the property on County <br />Road I from R2 to R3 was opened at 9:00 P.M. The Clerk read the <br />legal notice and stated that all forms and procedures had been <br />completed and followed. The Mayor explained the reason for the re -. <br />quest and asked if anyone wished to speak on the subject. There <br />were no objectors to the proposal. The Mayor closed the hearing at <br />9:05 P.M. Motion by LaVaque to rezone: <br />North 390 feet of the E u of the NE of the <br />NW 1 of Section 8, Township 30, Range 23. <br />:rider the following condition; <br />1. Application and approval of building permit by Council. <br />Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes. <br />The Engineer presented reports on alternate sewer main route <br />for study and discussion at the next agenda meeting, March 2, 1964. <br />The drainage for Gloria Circle will also be discussed at the <br />agenda meeting. <br />
