PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />The-regular-meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to <br />order by Mayor Hodges at $:OO P.M., March 9, 1964 at 2401 Highway #10. <br />Present Were: <br />Mayor: <br />Trustee: <br />Trustee: <br />Trustee: <br />Clerk: <br />Also Present: <br />Attorney: <br />Engineer: <br />Public Works: <br />Adm. Blanchard <br />Richard Meyers <br />Les Knutson <br />Walter Skiba <br />Paul Boog <br />Motion by Sullivan to approve the minutes of February 24, 1964 as <br />presented. Seconded by LaVaque. 5 Ayes. <br />Five residents from Fairchild Ave., north of Highway #10, requested <br />the Council to reconsider any previous action and not designate Fairchild <br />Ave. north of Highway #10 as a county road continuation of Silver Lake <br />Road. After considerable discussion by council members, the Attorney <br />and the Engineer, with questions and answers from the residents present, <br />the following action was taken: Motion by Hodges to direct the Attorney <br />to inform the County Engineer to disregard previous correspondence re- <br />gards.ng this matter and to request the County to designate Red Oak <br />Drive, north of Highway #10, as the continuation of Silver Lake Road <br />County Highway. Seconded by Rustad. 5 Ayes. <br />A representative of the Mounds View Sportsmen's Club requested the <br />use of the village hall for meetings. This was referred to the Clerk's <br />office for proper application. <br />A resident requested village action on a house at 2091 Pinewood <br />Drive that is in an extremely unsanitary condition. This was referred <br />to the Attorney and Building Inspector for immediate action. <br />Mayor Hodges reported that the Industrial Development Committee was <br />in need of a chairman as John Bell, the present chairman, was moving <br />from the village. <br />Mr. LaVaque reported that a steel building is now being contemplated <br />for the Sanitary Sewer service building instead of the brick building <br />previously planned, because of lower cost. <br />Mr. Rustad read the Police report for February, 1964.
