PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />0 <br />0135 <br />The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council <br />was called to order by Mayor Hodges at 7:00 P.M., December 14, 1964 <br />at 2401 Highway # 10. <br />Roll call of Officers: <br />Present Were: <br />Mayor: <br />Clerk: <br />Trustee: <br />Also present: <br />Adm. Clerk <br />Attorney: <br />Engineer: <br />Public Works: <br />Donald C. Hodges <br />Lloyd J. Blanchard <br />Charles La Vaque <br />Ingram Rustad <br />Arthur Schott <br />Paul E. Boog <br />Richard Meyers <br />Shelly Boehm <br />Walter Skiba <br />The Mayor called three times for further bids for Sanitary <br />Sewer Improvement Project 1964 -3 - lateral and road. <br />The Mayor closed the bidding and directed the Clerk and <br />Engineer to open the twelve bids, copy attached. <br />The Mayor asked if there were any bids submitted and not <br />read. There were none. <br />Motion by Blanchard to refer bids to the Engineer for <br />tabulation and recommendation. Seconded by Schott. 5 Ayes. Motion <br />Carried. <br />Motion by Rustad to approve minutes of November 23, 1964 <br />meeting. Seconded by La Vaque. 5 Ayes. Motion Carried. <br />Trustee Rustad stated he was dissatisfied with the plowing <br />of Village streets. Rustad reported that a County Foreman approached <br />him to sign a paper before snow removal could begin. Trustee Rustad <br />asked questions as to the procedure of removing snow in prwvious years. <br />Clerk Blanchard reported on the progress of the ..North <br />Suburban Sanitary Sewer District. He stated that August 1, 1965 is the <br />date set for NSSSD to hook onto the Mounds View sewer system. <br />Blanchard announced that State Representative, Robert Ashback, is in <br />favor of a metro sewer plan if Regional plants are allowed. <br />The Clerk's Office had received information that a house on <br />La Porte Drive had their well dried up due to the sewer construction <br />in that area. The Engineer stated the emergency would last for 2 to 4 <br />weeks and that the water table would come back up after the construction <br />was completed. <br />Motion by Rustad to instruct '.'alter Skiba to contact some area <br />water installation contractor to get the lowest bid for this work. <br />To authorize the Attorney to draft an agreement for the owners to sign <br />granting permission to enter onto and install water on the property. <br />Also to authorize Walter Skiba to hire the contractor after the owners <br />have signed the agreement. Seconded by Blanchard. 5 Ayes. Motion <br />carried. <br />
