-3- fiJUd <br />Trustee La Vaque reported that the water hydrants had been <br />installed on Lambert and Hillvew Parks by Clark and Moore with Village <br />help. Because of the cold weather, the Water Department has had to <br />repair some frozen water meters. <br />Trustee La Vaque reported that three deliquent water <br />accounts were going to be shut off from Municipal Water. <br />Trustee Schott read a letter from the Ramsey County <br />Engineer's Office stating the snow plowing and sanding procedure <br />for the 1964 -65 winter and that no special attention would be given <br />to dead ends, driveways, and cul de sacs. The County would not <br />accept the responsibility for damage to mail boxes. <br />Motion by Blanchard to deny the request for a subdivision <br />by Ansel Gardner for Lot 14, Block 12, Greenfield Addition, for the <br />lots to be 65' wide. Seconded by La Vaque. 5 Ayes. Motion Carried. <br />Motion by Hodges to approve Charles Jackson's request to <br />hold up the remainder of the funds in the Civil Defense Budget in <br />1964 and carry over these funds and add them to the 1965 budget. <br />Seconded by Rustad. Roll Call on Motion. Rustad, Hodges, La Vaque <br />Aye; Blanchard and Schott Nay. Motion Carried. <br />Motion by La Vaque to accept the applications for <br />membership in the Water Works Association for Walter Skiba. <br />Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes. Motion Carried. <br />Engineer Boehm reported on the Sanitary Sewer Interceptor <br />System progress in the Village. He explained about the servicing <br />of the N.E. Portion of the Village. This matter to be discussed at <br />the next agenda meeting and the land owners to be invited to attend. <br />Motion by Blanchard to instruct the Engineer to prepare <br />the assessment roles for the Sanitary S' Interceptor and Drainage <br />Improvement Project 1964 -1, the 1964 -2 lift stations, the Street and <br />Water Improvement 1964 -1 - Fourth and Woodcrest: The Street and <br />Water Improvement 1964 -2, Quincy Street, North of Hillview. <br />Seconded by La Vaque. 5 Ayes. Motion Carried. <br />Engineer Boehm asked about the extension of Water and <br />Sewer on County Road H from Irondale Road to Highway # 10. This <br />matter was referred to the next agenda meeting. <br />Attorney Meyers reviewed the -- css of the case of <br />i.cuc i�e,6 <br />Samuel B. Fried, Contest of the J. P. -Ldciion. Meyers stated <br />that the Court in a preliminary hearing had denied his petition <br />to dismiss the suit of Samuel B. Fried. Meyers thought that Fried <br />would be the contestant and the apparent election winner, Charles Hall, <br />the conteskee along with Village Clerk Blanchard. Until the Court <br />makes a determination, Clerk Blanchard is prohibited from issuing <br />an election certificate to Charles Hall even though the Council has <br />canvassed the election results and declared Hall, the candidate <br />with the plurality of votes. If the Court did rule for Fried <br />the Village would then wait the Courts counsel on the next step. <br />
