-4- <br />Fried stated that it seemed to him that Meyers is repr6it4 <br />the matter in Hall's behalf. Meyers said he didn't care who was the <br />J.P. Meyers also said that it hadn't been the Council that brought <br />the matter into the newspapers and courts. That since it was, the <br />Council felt it had the right to protect the Clerk's Office. Trustee <br />La Vaque called Fried's accusation a reflection on the whole group. <br />Mr. Fried stated he did not believe that the Village Attorney <br />needed to represent the Clerk. Mr. Blanchard stated that he did not agree <br />with Mr. Fried. Mr. Fried accused Adm. Clerk, Mr. Boog of malfeasance <br />of office. <br />Mr. Blanchard stated that since Mr. Fried had accused Adm. <br />Clerk, Paul Boog, of wilfull and deliberate intention in committing <br />the error on the ballots the Council must protect the Clerk's Office. <br />Fried stated that these things might not come up. Meyers said these <br />things should come in since they are the basis of the Court Trial. <br />Motion by Blanchard in regards to the election contest of <br />Samuel B. Fried, the Village Attorney should represent the Village <br />Clerk and his staff at all hearings, trials, and appeals regarding <br />this matter. Seconded by La Vaque. Roll Call of Officers: Hodges, <br />Blanchard Schott, La Vaque, Rustad, Aye. No Nayes. Motion Carried. <br />Mayor Hodges stated that the Council should back up the <br />Clerk's Office. Meyers stated that the trial would begin at 9:30 A.M. <br />December 21, 1964. Mr. Fried invited the Council to attend. <br />g8 <br />Meyers reported that he had contacted a Mr. Forsman from the <br />Bell Telephone Company. There is no charge to the Village for the <br />installation of telephone cable. <br />Motion by La Vaque to adopt Ordinance # 123. An Ordinance <br />designating Johnson Drive. Seconded by Rustad. 5 Ayes. Motion Carried. <br />Motion by Blanchard to adopt Resolution' 181 o correct <br />assessments. MA # 35- Lateral Water Improvement 19 - and 1960 -2, <br />Divis=..on # 34356, MA # 34, Area t:Tater Improvement 1960 -1 and 1960 -2, <br />Division # 34356, MA # 33, Street Improvement # 58, Division 34354. <br />Seconded by Rustad. 5 Ayes. Motion Carried. <br />Motion by Blanchard to accept the recommendations of the <br />Engineer as the low bidders for the Sewer Lateral Improvement Project <br />1964.3.. The low bidders are as follows: <br />Schedule A <br />Schedule B <br />Schedule C <br />Nodland Construction Company <br />Sandstrom and Hafner, Inc. <br />Peter Lametti <br />$ 226,580.89 <br />214,000.00 <br />278,035.13 <br />TOTAL $ 718, 616.02 <br />and authorize the Clerk and Mayor to execute the contracts after <br />examination. Motion Carried. <br />Clerk Blanchard read the financial report of Lakeside Park <br />Commission for the period 2 -18 -64 to 12 -1 -64. <br />Meyers asked about the financing of the sewer improvement <br />Paoject. He was instructed to continue. <br />
