-3- <br />Gd0013 <br />3. Increase of monthly salary of Chief Grabowski. Increase will be <br />$20.00 per month. <br />4. Increase of monthly salary of Supt, Skiba, Increase will be $20.00 <br />per month. <br />5. Change Mr. Johnson from weekly to monthly salary, New monthly <br />salary will be $460.00 per month. <br />6. Increase of monthly salary of Dep. Clerk Boog, Increase will be <br />$20.00 per month. <br />All increases and changes effective February 1, 1965. <br />Seconded by Blanchard. 5 Ayes. <br />The matter of paying full time police officers for off duty <br />appearance in court was refex.ed to the next agenda meeting. <br />Mr. Edmond and Mr. Skiba reported on the inspectors school <br />they attended at the University of Minnesota. <br />Mr. William Frits gave a report on the Oak Wilt problem and <br />stated that by an Explorer Scout survey there were approximately 2,400 <br />Head or diseased oaks inside the Village limits. He further stated <br />that a recommendation would be made as to a course of action after he <br />has seen the North Oaks Village Ordinance regarding this problem. <br />The Engineer reported on the following subjects: <br />1. Service road and Highway # 101 Copy of letter refusing this <br />request on file, also copy sent to the persons making the reauest. <br />2. Bronson Drive drainage - Price of $4,792.00 quoted by contractor <br />doing sewer work in the area. Referred to the next agenda meeting. <br />3. Trees on Johnson Terrace. County will remove as soon as possible, <br />4. Sanitary Sewer ordinance. Engineer will compare with St. Paul <br />ordinance for possible adoption by reference. <br />Motion by Blanchard to pay bills submitted totaling $8523.55 <br />Seconded by La Vague. 5 Ayes. <br />Motion by Blanchard to approve licenses. Seconded by Rustad. <br />5 Ayes. <br />The matter of a possible request for the Public Examiner <br />was discussed and a letter from Peat, Marwich, Mitchell, CPA's was <br />read and filed. If no petition is received by the Council before <br />March 1, 1965 requesting the Public Examiners audit the Council will <br />move to hire a private firm to do this work. <br />Mr. Rustad will check on reason for purchase of new night <br />sticks for the Police Department. <br />A copy of a letter from the State Department of Health to <br />the owner of the Bel Rae Ballroom was read and discussed. (copy on file) <br />The Clerk was directed to send a letter informing Mr. Ramacher that <br />his license to operate is in jeopardy unless he complies with the <br />request of the Department of Health. <br />A letter requesting the number of future sewer hook -ups <br />in the Village for NSSSD was read and referred to the Engineer. <br />A letter setting forth rates and charges of Comstock and <br />Davis as Village Engineer was read and discussed. <br />
