-2- <br />030019 <br />The Engineer reported that the plans and specs for the sewer <br />maintenance building were nearly complete. <br />The Attorney reported that there was a bill introduced <br />in the State Legislature to increase the number of names needed to <br />place the liquor question of the ballot. Said bill is SF 391 and HF 54. <br />(Clerk directed to obtain copy of bill, Attorney to check bill over as <br />Village is vitally concerned with this problem.) <br />The Attorney advised that as the Moga appeal was still <br />pending the transfer of ownership of some of the land involved could <br />be to the advantage of the Village. (land purchased and rezoned for <br />Mobile Home Park.) <br />The Council at the Attorney's request set Monday, March 29th <br />6:30 P.M. as the date to resolve the proposed sewer ordinance. <br />Mr. Meyers requested that the Police Civil Service Commission <br />advise him if they have or have not adopted the rules for their <br />Commission. <br />Mr. Meyers reported on the Dedolph case: <br />1. An award for approx. $12,900. was made. <br />2. Suit was for $15,000.00. <br />3. Council feels that no appeal is necessary. <br />4. Final decision and amount will be reported at a later <br />meeting. <br />The Attorney advised the Council that most of the condemnation <br />proceedings would be under way by the end of February for Sanitary <br />ewer porjects and for Silver Lake Road extension. <br />Motion by Blanchard to adopt Resolution # 188 egarding <br />changes in assessments due to lot splits, etc. ` <br />Area Water Improvement 1960 -1 and 1960 -2. MA #34, Division 34430, <br />34431, 34632, 34667. <br />Lateral Water Improvement 1960 -1 and 1960 -2 MA# 35, Division 34431 and <br />34632. Also abating certain water assessments on Lot # 7, Block # 2, <br />Johnson Terrace. <br />The Attorney presented a resolution setting compensation <br />for the Electrical and Building Inspector. <br />Motion by La Vaque to adopt Resolution '# <br />Seconded by Malvin. .- 4 Ayes. <br />Motion by La Vaque regarding the above resolution, The <br />Electrical Inspector shall receive an additional amount of $15.00 <br />per month to cover costs of paper work, etc. <br />Seconded by Blanchard. 3 Ayes. Malvin nay. Motion Carried. <br />The Northern States Power Electric contract proposal <br />was referred to the Attorney for further negotiations. <br />Motion by Blanchard to pay bills submitted, totaling <br />$66,113.57. Seconded by La Vaque. 4 Ayes. <br />Motion by Blanchard to approve bonds for treasurer, <br />J. P. Hall, and Building Inspector. <br />seconded by La Vaque. 4 Ayes. <br />
