-2- <br />GJ0045 <br />Mayor Hodges reported that two picnic tables were being <br />wilt from funds docated by the Mounds View Lions Club and the • <br />,rea next to the Village Hall was being cleared. <br />Trustee Rustad reported on the large amount of dead fish <br />along the shore of Spring Lake. The Clerk's Office was directed to <br />write a letter to the State Conservation Department for relief of this <br />problem. <br />Trustee Rustad read a letter from the Chief of Police regarding <br />the traffic problem at Highway # 10 and County Road H -2 crossing. <br />The Clerk's Office was directed to invite the District # 9 <br />Engineer, Mr. Mc Cubrey, or his representative from the Highway Dept; <br />the School Bus Company Representative; and the School Patrol Representative <br />to a meeting May 3 at 6:30 P.M. to discuss the problem. <br />Trustee La Vaque reported the progress of the sewer construction <br />throughout the Village. La Vaque stated that a decision on how the <br />roads will be repaired after the completion of sewer will be announced <br />soon. Well # 2 is working. Trustee La Vaque requested residents to <br />use caution wtnile driving because of the extensive work on the roads, <br />added to this is that warning lights are being removed from some of <br />the construction sites making driving hazardous. <br />Motion by La Vaque to authorize N.S.P. Company to install <br />a 6000 lumen street light on the intersection of Hillview Road and <br />"reenwood Drive. Seconded by Blanchard. 4 Ayes. Motion Carried. <br />Motion by La Vaque to authorize N.S.P. Company to install <br />a 6,000 lumen street light on the intersection of Terrace Drive and <br />Quincy Street. Seconded by Rustad. 4 Ayes. Motion Carried. <br />Mr. Milt Stole inquired about street restoration on Terrace <br />Drive. The Engineer was instructed to investigate and report to Mr. <br />La Vaque. <br />The minutes of the Planning Commission meeting of April 21, <br />1965 was read by La Vague. The request from the Tred Company was <br />referred to the Attorney. <br />Letter from State Attorney General referring to purchase of <br />salt was read by La Vaque. <br />The proposed platting by Berkeland was referred to the Planning <br />Commission. <br />Letter from R. J. Houle, M.D., Village Health Officer was <br />read. The Clerk's Office was directed to request Dr. Houle to make <br />a personal check of this area and advise the Village of his findings. <br />Mr. Harvey Melbe, 8371 Eastwood Road asked how he could keep <br />'Inlicensed vehicle in his yard. Mr. Melbe to be granted 15 days <br />:mission to park these vehicles in his yard while Trustee Perry Malvin <br />Avestigatei this situation. <br />Clerk Blanchard reported that two fires were reported at <br />Edgewood Jr High School. Neither of these fires were reported to <br />either the Jr, Lake Park Fire Department or to the Mounds View <br />Village Police Department. <br />
