-3- <br />0J0068 <br />The Council will investigate the feasability of an alleyway on <br />the South side of Lois prive. <br />β <br />Mr. Robert Edmond, Electrical-Inspector reported that the Civil <br />Defense siren is in working order and again connected with the telephone <br />alarm system. <br />Mr. Edmond will do the inspections on the temporary parking of <br />house trailers in the Village, at Council direction. <br />Mr. Charles Jackson gave a report on the Civil Defense activity <br />during and after the tornado, part of which was the 3,592 hours put in <br />by various Civil Defense units. <br />As a portion of his report the matter of the Ramsey County " <br />Walkie- Talkie Radio was brought up. This radio is missing and believed <br />stolen. <br />Motion by Rustad to authorize Civil Defense Director to purchase <br />1 Walkie-- Talkie at $108.52-to replace missing radio of Ramsey County <br />Civil Defense Unit. Seconded by La Vague. β 5 Ayes. <br />An informal meeting will be held on Friday, May 29, 1965 at <br />6 :30 P.M. with the Council and Civil Defense representatives to discuss <br />the future of the Mounds View Civil Defense Units. <br />The Attorney announced that there are no guards, on a full time <br />basis, on the wrecked vehicles behind the Village Hall and that on <br />June 21, 1965 the Council would take action to remove any remaining <br />automobiles. <br />β <br />The low spot at Jackson and County Road H -2 and the matter of the <br />chimney on Well # 2 were :referred βto the Engineer for action. <br />Engineer G omstock presented the change order affecting the repair <br />of Long Lake Road. <br />Motion by Rustad to approve change order g 2 to Sanitary Sewer <br />Project 1964-1 Schedule C and authorize Clerk and Mayor to execute. <br />Seconded by La Vague. 5 Ayes. <br />Motion by Malvin to concur with Engineers recommendation and have <br />the Twin City Testing & Engineering Lab. conduct tests to determine if <br />the filter plant is ope -ating as per guarantee before engineer gives his <br />approval for refunding :;f escrow bonds. Seconded by Rusted. 5 Ayes. <br />The Engineer for National Funds presented a Trailer Court layout <br />for preliminary approval.' <br />Motion by Blanaard to deny preliminary approval of this project <br />on the following groun's: <br />1. There should be two exits on County Road H -2 (No others) <br />2. The roads are below standard width. <br />3. The Duplexes have not all been started. <br />4. Plans shall be approved by Building Inspector and Engineer <br />before resubmitting to Council. <br />Seconded by Rustad. 5 Ayes. <br />In the discussion of the above motion the following points were <br />brought out: <br />
