Page # 2 <br />Mrs. Fried read a letter she intends to send to the Council <br />and the Attorney was directed to prepare an answe r,if said tter is <br />received in time. r, Lx <br />Mrs. Clems, 2147 (Pinewood Dia.. requested inspection of a <br />drainfield she believes is running into her cesspool. Mr. Skiba <br />was directed to investigate. <br />Mr. E. Gustafson questioned rebuilding his home. The <br />Council directed him to prepare a list of items he intends to do and <br />submit them to the building inspector for approval. He was warned <br />that the building must come up to present building code. <br />Mr. Staples,7710 Woodlawn Drive, requested removal of debris <br />from the area near his home. Matter referred to Hodges for contact <br />with Herbst Construction. <br />Mrs. Florence Peterson requested the Village to remove nails <br />and debris from the Lois and Knoll street surface. <br />The Clerk's Office was directed to contact the Highway <br />Department to have an electro- magnet brought in again. <br />Mayor Hodges reported the following items: <br />1. Village Hall Park was being cleaned up by sewer contractors. <br />2. Tables and fireplaces will be availabe soon. <br />3. Two more F.H.A. homes made availabel to disaster victims. <br />4. F.H.A. has ruled to not loan money on homes in the <br />Hillview area due to high water table. <br />Clerk Blanchard stated that Lakeside Park is open and <br />classes start June 15, 1965. <br />The outboard motor ordinance presented in 1964 was <br />discussed at some length. <br />The Attorney was directed to again present said ordinance <br />for Council study. <br />The matter of children swimming in Rice Creek was discussed <br />and referred to the Police Department and see if signs could be <br />posted for "No Swimming Allowed ". <br />Mr. Rusted presented the Police report for May. (on file) <br />Motion by Rusted to change status of Officer Timothy Smith <br />from part time to full time effective July 1, 1965. Salary will be <br />$400.00 per month. This eliminates all part time officers except <br />for relief or emergency help. Seconded by La Vaque. 5 Ayes. <br />Mr. La Vaque reported the following: <br />1. Water report for May. (on file) <br />2. Sewer progress report - schedule only slightly behind <br />expectations due to water problem. <br />3. Minutes of the Planning Commission meeting held May 18, 1965 <br />read and filed. <br />4. Road repair being undertaken. <br />Mr. Malvin will make an investigation of a yard on Gloria <br />Circle after receiving citizens complaints of messy yard. <br />
