PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a Special Meeting <br />of the Village Council was called to order by Mayor Hodges at <br />6:30 P.M. on August 16, 1965 at 2401 Highway # 10 - St. Paul, Minnesota. <br />Present were: <br />Mayor: <br />Clerk: <br />Trustee: <br />Absent: <br />Trustee: <br />Also Present: <br />Engineer: <br />Public Works : <br />Donald C. Hodges <br />Lloyd J. Blanchard <br />Perry Malvin <br />Ingram Rustad <br />Charles La Vague <br />Sheldon Boehm <br />Eldon Comstock <br />Walter Skiba <br />The proposed Arden Avenue improvement project was discussed <br />at length with the affected property owners. <br />Motion by Hodges to order the improvement as published <br />(Sewer, water and street) . Seconded by Rustad. 4 Ayes. <br />Motion by Malvin to direct the Engineer to prepare final <br />plans and specs. for the Arden Avenue improvement project. <br />Seconded by Blanchard 4 Ayes. <br />A citizens complaint on the Siweck apartments was <br />discussed with the inspection department. <br />Motion by Malvin to have the following items taken care <br />of within 24 hours by the owners of the Siweck apartments. <br />1. Proper trash burners be installed according to code. <br />2. One garbage can for each rental unit. <br />3. Proper doors and louvers in the furnace rooms. <br />4. Gas leak repaired in clothes dryer. <br />5. Contract for sewage removal. <br />6. Windows be repaired. <br />Seconded by Blanchard. 4 Ayes. <br />The inspection department was instructed to notify the <br />owner of the Siweck Apartments of the above action this evening <br />at 8:00 P.M. <br />Motion by Rusted to grant a 3 foot variance to allow a <br />seven foot side yard setback on the East side of property of Mr. <br />Orville Sachs at 2242 Lois Drive subject to payment of required fees. <br />Motion by Rustad <br />and adopt Resolution -3:9 <br /># 35 W and 694 . Se c o r de d <br />accept the Engineers recommendation <br />arding the beautification of Highway <br />odges. 4 Ayes. <br />A petition was received requesting Sanitary Sewer to be <br />extended North of Arden Avenue on Long Lake Road. Petition referred <br />to the Village Engineer. <br />
