Mr. Charles Larson requested permission for the Spring Lake Park Lions Club to hold a Carnival on the Johnson Farm, June 20, 21, 22. The Council gave a tentative approval and asked the Attor- ney to check the ')rdinances. A resident from Knoll Drive questioned when the roads will be resurfaced and why the oiling was not done last fp11. The Engineer reported that due to the tornado clean -up and heavy equip ment the oiling was deleted and deducted from the contract. At 8:30 p.m. the Mayor opened the Public Hearing on Rezoning all of Lot 59, Auditor's Subdivision # 89. The Clerk read the legal notice and attested to the publica- tion and mailing of same. Mr. Eigenheer stated that his plans were to build a car wash on the north portion of the lot. When the car wash is in full op- eration it will employ 33 employees. The Planning Commission previously approved the above proposal. The Mayor called three times for objectors and there were none. The hearing was closed. Motion by Rustad to approve the rezoning of Lot 59, Auditor's Subdivision # 89 from R -3 to B -3 for the construction of a car wash subject to application and approval of a building permit. Seconded by Johnson. 4 ayes. At 8:45 the Mayor opened the Public Hearing for Water Assessments. The Clerk read the legal and attested to the publishing and mailing of same. This affected "Except the South 200' cf Lit 70, Spring Lake Park Knolls Addition." The property owner, Everette Kuntz, accepted the assessment as presented. This assessment can be paid at the Village Hall without interest for the next 30 days. June 10th it will be certified to Ramsey County for collection. Motion by Blanchard to adopt Assessment Role for Water Project 1960 -3. Seconded by Lang. 4 ayes. The Mayor read a report from the Building Inspector regarding 5344 Clifton Drive. The Attorney has contacted the owner and he will be painting the home shortly.
