Motion made, (Walser) seconded (Rustad) To continue the employment <br />of Marilyn Lidberg at $2.00 per hour and Marlys Overson at a new rate <br />of $1.80 per hour with a raise to $1.90 after 6 months service. <br />Motion Carried 5 Ayes <br />Motion made, (Yalser) seconded (Malvin) to authorize the hiring of <br />Irene Edberg (the Elected Treasurer) as a part -time clerk typist at a <br />rate of $1.80 per hour. Motion Carried 5 Ayes <br />The Attorney stated that in his opinion the employment of this <br />elected official in a clerk typist capacity was legal. <br />Motion made, (Walser) seconded (Rustad) to continue the appointment <br />of Marilyn Lidberg as Deputy Clerk. Motion Carried 5 Ayes <br />Trustee Malvin read the police report for the month of December <br />1966 and the yearly report for 1966. Trustee Malvin referred to a <br />recent fast, efficient cracking of a burglary ring by the police Chief, <br />Ernie Grabowski and commended him on his excellent record in the <br />performance of his duties. <br />Motion made, (Malvin) seconded (Johnson) to direct the attorney to <br />prepare a standard agreement form for use by Bel Rae or other local <br />extablishments that employ off -duty Mounds View Policemen. The <br />agreement will transfer responsibility for insurance and liability to <br />the establishment employing the policeman. <br />Motion Carried 5 Ayes <br />Trustee Johnson had no report. <br />Trustee Lang reported that residents had complained about the slow <br />snow removal during the recent storm and commented that the county was <br />apparently somewhat over extended on its capability due to recent add- <br />itions to the list of roads serviced by the County. Mayor Rustad <br />requested that Trustee Lang meet with the commissioner and discuss the <br />problem. <br />Motion made, (Rustad) seconded (Lang) to set the Clerks' salary <br />at $50.00 per month. Motion Carried 5 Ayes <br />No reports from Village Inspectors. <br />Motion made, (Rustad) seconded (Johnson) to raise the salary of <br />Jacob R. Gross to $2.00 per hour. Motion Carried 5 Ayes <br />Mayor Rustad reported that Wally Skiba had requested a large tank <br />for flushing jobs and mentioned costs of around Referred to <br />the engineer for study. 46r ems. <br />The attorney reviewed the history of meetings and negotiations <br />with the village maintenance employees union. The proposed resolution <br />was read (#276) establishing salaries.
