-2- <br />Trustee Malvin reported that he checked on complaints and that all <br />Garbage Haulers operating in the Village are licensed. <br />The Mayor declared a five minute recess. <br />Trustee Johnsons arrival was recognized by the Mayor. <br />The Mayor opened the special hearing on improvements in Haugens & <br />Haluptzoks Additons at 9 :00 P.M. <br />The Clerk announced that notices had been sent and published. The <br />notice was read. <br />Engineer Boehm read the preliminary report and cost estimate. The <br />property was identified on the Village map. <br />Ruth White questioned whether her property would be affected. She <br />vas assured that her property is not involved. <br />James Lund questioned the exact breakdown of costs. Engineer Boehm <br />reviewed and clarified the costs breakdown. <br />The Mayor called for objections three times. <br />Mayor Rustad closed the hearing at 9 :10 P.M. <br />The question of length of assessment period was discussed by Mr. Lund <br />and the Attorney. <br />Mr. Lund was advised that the Council generally wants assessments <br />paid as soon as homes are built and sold. <br />M /S /P (Rustad /Johnson)- To order the improvements and to order the <br />Engineer to make the final plans and cost estimates for the Haugens <br />and Haluptzoks Additions. 5 Ayes. <br />The Mounds View Developers presented a signed petition requesting <br />rezoning from B -3 to light industrial on remaining sections of their <br />property and the vacating of certain streets and alleys. <br />WS /P (Rustad /Malvin) -To set Monday, July 10, at 9 :OOP.M. as the <br />'gearing date for the Mounds View Developers rezoning and vacating of <br />certain streets and alleys. 5 Ayes. <br />The Clerk announced that the Financial Statements in booklet form are <br />now available from the office. <br />M /S /P (`Jalser /Lang)- To hire Dennis Zylla as Supervisor of Office <br />Operations effective June 26, 1967 at a salary of $525/mo. for a <br />three month probationary period and $625/mo. after the probationary <br />period.
