PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />0 VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEf. <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />JUNE 26, 1967 <br />The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was <br />called to order by Mayor Rustad at 8:00 P. M. on Monday, <br />June 26, 1967 at the Village Hall, 2401 Highway #10, St. <br />P'.ul, Minnesota, 55112. <br />PRESENT <br />Mayor I. C. Rusted <br />Trustee P. Malvin <br />Trustee R. Johnson <br />ALSO PRESENT <br />Attorney Meyers <br />Engineer Boehm <br />ABSENT <br />Clerk Walser <br />Trustee G. Lang <br />��1 (Malvin/Johnson) To approve the minutes of May 22, <br />P!!° ", P (Malvin /.. I would <br />1967 with the following correction per Malvin: <br />we"I would <br />like :4 to go on record that we (the Council) <br />of playing politics, and that we didn't want to hire Mr. <br />Engle, and that it had - othing to do with Mr. Engle leaving <br />the Village employment.'' <br />Approval of June 12, 1967 minutes was deferred. <br />Residents requests and comments: <br />A petition was submitted to the Council regarding signs being <br />put up on Long Lake Road and Hillview euisggthe speed, also <br />s <br />"etch Out for Children ", and a play-ground <br />Green- <br />wood and Hillview Long <br />DeanLake <br />AnklanRoad. <br />regarding letter thewill <br />matter ,sent <br />to the County Engineer, <br />vlr. Leo Stellphlug of the Mounds View Mobile Home Park in- <br />quired as to what could be done regarding a fence being put <br />up along the highway. They were informed that this is private <br />property and this was more or less up to the owners of the <br />park, but the Village will do all they can to acquires snow <br />fence from the County for a temporary fence. vL +ouSo ae transport e <br />of the park informed the Council that <br />�aauly need approximately <br />the snow fence and install it. They <br />300 yards. The Clerks office was d *.rec-.ed to contact the <br />letter regarding the fence. They were informed <br />that County b <br />we cannot use Municipal funds to put up a fence, nor do <br />we have any right to put up signs since this is privately owned. <br />A tornado shelter was also discussed, Residents inquired as <br />to where they could go for shelter. The Clerk's office was <br />directed to contact Charles Jackson, Director of Civil Defense, <br />to we k on the problem. <br />The Residents also requested mthatrthesgarbage at 5344 <br />and 5346 <br />Raymond be cleaned up. The <br />Police Commissioner for action. <br />
