As you all know, our present liquor establishments have all <br />invested over $250,000.00 each, and I see no reason why new investors <br />couldn't invest as much, or more. I personally will not look with <br />favor on any applicant who wants to set up a saloon in our Village <br />and 1 am sure that most of the residents of Mounds View agree with <br />me. 1 am not against business development, since, as you knot ,!, I <br />am an independent businessman, and I realize the importance of <br />commercial development, but when it comes to the issuance of our <br />last license, my feeling is that we should do so with great care <br />and thought. <br />Trustee Johnson - No report. <br />Chris Piehowski brought up the matter that Mrs. Hackett have <br />sewer installed. Mrs. Hackett discussed the matter with the <br />Council that she is on ADC and doesn't have a very big income. <br />The Council consented to give her until July 24, 1967 to report <br />back to the Council, either by letter or in person, regarding the <br />progress that has been made. Clerk's office directed to send <br />a letter. <br />"ally Skiba announced that the painting of the inside of the water <br />tower has been completed. The Fire Department will use their <br />equipment to disinfect the inside at 6:30 P. M. , June 27, 1967. <br />The Village will furnish the Sodium Hypochloride. Painting <br />company will furnish two men for this operation. <br />tvI /S /P (Malvin /Johnson) To adopt Resolution #313 for correcting <br />assessment for Robert Trepanier and Twin City Federal. 3 ayes <br />M /S /P (Malvin /Johnson) To adopt Resolution #314 for correcting <br />assessments for Mary Strong. 3 Ayes <br />July 10, 1967 at 9:00 P. M. is the date set for the rezoning hearing <br />for Mounds View Developers. <br />The Attorney reported that a hearing on condemnation for easements <br />on certain properties will be '7ednesday, July 23, 1967 at 10:30 A.M. <br />The Engineer reported that the contracts are back from Hennepin <br />Blacktopping for Street Improvement 1967 -3 and are ready for <br />signatures by the Mayor and Clerk. <br />Bob Ehlers was asked to be present at the Agenda meeting July 5, 1967 <br />at 6:30 P. M. to discuss a Bond Sale to finance M.S.A. Street <br />Improvement. <br />
