PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />July 10, 1967 <br />The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by acting <br />Mayor Malvin at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, July 10, 1967, at the Village Hall, 2401 <br />Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota, 55112. <br />PRESENT <br />Robert Walser, Clerk <br />Gary Lang, Trustee <br />Richard Johnson, Trustee <br />Perry Malvin, Trustee <br />ALSO PRESENT ABSENT <br />Richard Meyers, Attorney I. C. Rustad, Mayor <br />Shelly Boehm, Engineer <br />M /S /P (Lang /Johnson)- to approve minutes of regular meeting of June 12, 1967. <br />4 Ayes <br />M/S/P (Malvin /Johnson)- to approve minutes of Special meeting of June 19, 1967. <br />4 Ayes <br />M /S /P (Johnson /Lang)- to approve minutes of Special meeting of June 28, 1967. <br />4 Ayes <br />Approval of the minutes for the regular meeting of June 26, 1967 was deferred. <br />Clerk Walser questioned whether a discussion could precede the pending vote on <br />Gustafson rezoning, since he was not present at the hearing. <br />M/ / <br />(Walser/ )- to re -open the hearing on the Gustafson rezoning. <br />(motion died for lack of a second) <br />M /S /P (Johnson /Lang)- to deny the Gustafson rezoning request. <br />Trustee Johnson & Trustee Lang commented, at Clerk Walser's request, on their reasons <br />for the motion to deny. Spot rezoning and other reasons were mentioned. <br />Roll call vote: Johnson -Aye, Lang -Aye, Malvin -Aye, and Walser -Aye, <br />M /S /P (Walser /Johnson)- to approve Licenses (see attached list). 4 Ayes <br />M /S /P (Walser /Malvin)- to approve bills as represented by check Ps 3270 -3297 and <br />1621 -1663 and 1063(bond) . 4 Lyes <br />Mr. Tom Coil representing Superior 400 requested an additional 90 days extension on <br />a building permit. <br />Trustee Malvin read the June Police report. <br />Trustee Lang commented on residents needing a place to dispose of storm debris. <br />Trustee Lang suggested and the Council agreed that residents be allowed to dump brush <br />in the low spot in the park behind the Village Hall. <br />Civil Defense Director, Charles Jackson suggested that trailers in the mobile home <br />park be anchored at corners to protect against wind damage. He is prepared to <br />undertake an educational campaign in the trailer park to promote in',ividual interest <br />in this plan. <br />
